MOT! - 100 percent the Mighty Whites! 😁. Should be a fun weekend, we are now staying the day before so will be nice

Ah finally Friday, and the weather today as been glorious - here is hoping it stays that way for the weekend. Today (two weeks after starting my new role) I officially actually did a part of that role 😁. It is going to be a slow transition I think, my replacement still hasn't been appointed. It has been a busy, stressful week so I was very glad to get that laptop switched off and into weekend mode.
All refunds for the cancelled trip have now account so we can start planning how that gets distributed. I will properly look at that next week, but the holiday and everything associated with that will be covered and certainly will cover some emergency fund too.
We all have a nice weekend planned, daughter and partner are going for a girly trip on Saturday and then a pamper day ahead for them on Sunday. Tonight we will hopefully watch a few episodes of our show.
Hope everyone had a good week, and hope the weekend is good for all.

What a weekend!..well until the football 😂. I hope everyone had a good weekend and enjoyed the weather. I think Watford might be all out of Jager, and rum! haha. It was a fab weekend, and honestly was so good to just switch off completely. I get some amount of confidence from somewhere when the drinks come out….although not sure I will be taking up singing career anytime soon.
This start to the week has brought me back crashing to reality though, daughter and myself are both feeling under the weather and work has been a really tough few days. I am trying to remind myself it's a job and not something to get anxious over but still not always easy.
Early payday will be tomorrow and I will sit tonight and go through my budget, I am not sure what my salary will be, it should be the increased amount but right now I am not sure. I need to properly look at finances and see what needs to be budgeted for next month. We have a theatre trip on Friday, but only local so will be a nice night. I also have Friday booked off work so looking forward to that.

I can relate to the work anxiety. Why do we let it affect us so much?!
Here’s hoping the pay check is positive and the theatre trip at the end of the week sounds great 😊0 -
I think it is maybe a bit of us that has a personal sense of pride with the work, it seems to affect me more than others for some reason. I often think do I maybe care too much, am I too sensitive with it. I want to be good at my job but there is just so many outside factors at the moment that it just seems chaotic which doesn't do me any good. I am just at the point where I am juggling so much I just don't even know where to start. My productivity seems to have dropped off a cliff since the move back to old open office where everyone can access me whenever they want!
Thank you, we are all looking forward to the theatre - we are also in holiday mode as we now go in 26 days instead of 5 months.
I hope your work stress ease up

Happy hump day! Only today and tomorrow to survive, I’ve treated myself to midweek coffee and I am hoping for a more positive and productive day

good news I got the salary for the new role, plus my overtime but oh my gosh how much tax! haha. Bad news, no early monzo pay as accounts messed up the pay run. Now I know what my salary is I can make some plans for the extra now.
Today has felt like a bit more productive and I got a bit more done. I am still feeling yuck and so it the little one.

Chuffed for you that the new pay has come through 😊
