Back from my holiday and I was ever so happy to spend a night in my own bed! Had a lovely time, what’s not to like in Italy - fab food, beautiful scenery and friendly people.

I have been reading A Year of Living Simply and now convinced I need to get rid of lots of stuff, let’s see how that goes…

Still have some money left so that’s good😂
I also always come back from a trip away thinking I need to declutter more :)

I am single but buy a corn fed FR chicken every 4 - 5 days - I roast it  in my halogen and it makes at least 4 meals plus I always make a stock in my PC for soups or stews etc
I think it’s a cheaper healthy good for environment way to eat chicken
I always thank the chicken as well before cooking it

italy is always amazing - the food !!
    DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff.    Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

It must be so tantalising to see those front digits tick down through single digits, I can understand why you would want them to go faster! But you are doing well 😊 With savings, at what point will you become mortgage neutral? Maybe that could be an interim goal?

Hoping you haven’t disappeared under the washing … 😉😂

Thanks SH and KK, I have actually used up my 20% OP allowance which is great as I have never done that before! It resets at the end of this month.

I managed to get lots of washing clean and dry yesterday but it’s all on the dining table so that needs sorting out today.

I have to go do something upsetting this morning, too outing to put on here so ironing this afternoon might be a welcome relief.

Hugs for the upsetting task. Hope it happens smoothly and swiftly and you recover your equilibrium long before you go to bed tonight x
