I think she looks bigger KK but DS said he still couldn’t get over how tiny she is! I think he is comparing her to his two fully grown male cats…

It’s hard finding a balance that works financially as a part of me wants to say yes to OT and lose the holidays and treats but I think I have found a healthier balance which doesn’t add too long to my MFD. Also instead of stopping work completely afterwards I think I will maybe do one day a week for balance.

I have been offered a couple of jobs lately (that I haven’t applied for or taken) and yesterday someone told me of an opportunity he thought I would be ideal for. I am quite happy where I am but someone said something yesterday that made me feel a bit rubbish and I dwelt on it. Today I am pondering why the three positive affirmations that I am actually good at my job didn’t get stuck in my head but the one negative did… mmm…

I think it is hard to find the balance. I know I struggle with that when the eye is on the finishing line.  Kitten is adorable and I get the loss of the much loved pet.
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

I think it’s a mind of defence mechanism from sabre toothed tiger days and our brain trying to keep us safe from ‘threat’. If you engage your front, logical brain instead of the back, survival driven, brain, looked at objectively, is there anything in the negative comment that is a) relevant and b) you could learn from? If it is b), that might be why it is sticking with you. Or that you liked and trusted the person it came from - they have now shown themselves in a different light to you, which is also always unsettling.

Ahh no KK the comment was from someone who has MH issues and realistically probably said it to provoke a reaction whereas the others were from colleagues or former colleagues so I should have placed more weight on those I suppose. I think the tiredness was probably a big factor too.
Having a lazy, self indulgent day today, a run then maybe a walk somewhere sounds good as well as spending time with the fluffball.

I am determined to enjoy life without worrying about money so much. But also to grow a backbone and decline extra shifts that my lovely boss tries to talk me into! Hopefully we have some new people starting soon so it won’t be quite as bad.

Sounds like Chloe with her foot on Mr KK’s nose first thing in the morning …! 😂

Glad she’s settling in so well. Are you fully trained yet? 🤔😉
