Thanks SH I feel like it’s finally starting to lift.
It’s not been a great week, my wee cat died. She was my best pal and constant companion so feeling lost without her. But the upside of having this cold is that for the last week apart from work I spent all my time snuggling on the sofa with her.

So I have added a quote that I saw in Gally Girl’s signature to mine as it’s something I really need to remember to stay on track!

and with that in mind I said no to a night out and yes to some extra overtime😂 I am not saying no to everything but feel I am already overextended in January with meals out! I will manage though 😎

Opened a m0nz0 account for holiday spending and managed not to spend anything on clothes despite being tempted😂
    Thats a great addition!

So sorry to hear re your cat.
    DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff.    Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Got payslip for next week and finally my money is coming back to me!

Still coughing here but trying to plod on, had a big lunch arranged for tomorrow with ex colleagues but I pressed for cancellation as I thought it was bonkers. Luckily the guy organising saw my point and hopefully we can catch up next month. Called my dad to check he was ok and didn’t need anything and he said he wasn’t sure how bad it was going to be! Me - well buses and trains are off and most shops shut so please stay home! I asked if he had got the emergency message on his mobile as the noise scared the life out of me and he replied he thought he had heard something but thought it was the smoke alarm, his mobile was in his jacket pocket and he hadn’t looked🙄😂
