Frequency of state pension payments

Having started this thread, thought I'd mention I have been consistently receiving pension every Thursday.
Only exception was the last Xmas and new year bank holidays when payments moved to Tuesday for 2 weeks in December but back to normal by 2nd week of January.
As a result received 6 payments in December, which was gratifying but a little unexpected.

I note ( unsurprisingly) from this link that there is still no overt mention of the possibility to receive weekly rather than monthly.Dazed_and_C0nfused said:
That said, I suppose I should be grateful to the majority who opt for the government to 'borrow' their weekly pension for 3 weeks, must make a useful and increasing contribution to ease the government's borrowing requirements.
I remain grateful to xylophone and QrizB who kindly highlighted this option. I would still be on a fortnightly payment schedule but for their advice.

..getting mine weekly, and just persuaded Mrs Sbod to do the same when the time comes...as somebody has already said..."I owe you some money, do you want it now, or in 3 weeks??....".Still not sure why they (DWP) don't "volunteer" this option...but I guess it's not in their interest to advertise it??Just makes more sense to me to have something going into the account every week...but each to their own,,,.."It's everybody's fault but mine...."0

If I assume I pay it into an account paying, say, 3.5%, and don't spend any of it, then with weekly payments I'd be £12 better off at the end of the year. Don't think I'll bother changing it.loose does not rhyme with choose but lose does and is the word you meant to write.2

It's disgraceful that switching to weekly isn't 1 click on their website. I spent 20mins hanging on the phone before giving up for the time being.
Bring in Elon Musk to sort them out I say.0 -
But as soon as something went wrong (which does tend to happen with government IT systems) there would be no one to fix it as he'd have got rid of all the back office staff.optoutDB said:

I think you can only register once you've claimed. And it was a pain registering ..It is for many, MrsM can do it but I can't.

Yes I did see this link previously supplied ( I think ) from you molerat, but unless you tick to say you received a letter rather than heard word of mouth from friends/family or other, it seems you are blocked from progressing further.molerat said:optoutDB said:
