Ive lived in UK all my life. I was born in 1954.Born in 1954 you should have been receiving your pension since 2019 / 2020 unless you deferred, those born in1954 were the 65 to 66 change cohort.Something is severely amiss if you are receiving the pension monthly and not 4 weekly, you need to re-check your bank account.

- 23rd of July was a Wednesday. 4 weeks later would have been 20th of August.
- 23rd of August was a Saturday. I don't think pensions are ever paid on Saturdays?
- 23rd of September was a Tuesday.
- 23rd of October was Thursday.
- 12th of November was back to Wednesday, 16 weeks after the 23rd of July.
- 4 weeks on would have been the 10th of December, Wednesday just gone.

Sorry for delay. Yes I am living in UK and I'm over 70 (AKA pensioner) so I find some things difficult. However I received pension as follows.
23 July - £921
23 August £921
23 Sept £921
Same for October
November was deliberately early at 12th November.
I've yet to see what happens in December.
However...what seems clear to me is that I'm not paying every four weeks. Instead I'm paying on the same date each month.
I hope that makes sense.

What you are saying is clear but it makes no sense. How was November "deliberately early" which seems to suggest some sort of choice in the payment date. State pension is paid 4 weekly on the same day, excepting if it falls on a bank holiday, and as has been stated 12 Nov lines up with 23 Jul as a 4 week frequency. Are you getting this paid into a standard bank account ? Does the reference show in the form "BANK GIRO CREDIT REF AB123456C DWP SP, 000000001234567890" ?1

It is the last two digits of your NINO that determine what day of the week you get paid.DRS1 said:@DustyMunchkin what letter appears at the end of you NI Number? That usually indicates what day of the week you should get paid.
