DCB Letter of Claim - SAR Request?

Hi All,

Received this today from DCB Legal. This is the first I’ve heard of this, and i have received no previous correspondence.

This is for my partners address, for which I use a permit? Is it worth asking for an SAR?

God I hate these companies.

Thanks for your support.

  • Thanks Coupon-Mad.

Do I stick to the template, or do I need to add a few lines about why I am disputing? (i.e., it was my partners address and I can provide evidence of this if necessary).

    Thank You!!

Attach a copy of the permit if you want, but it won't stop their steamroller. Yet.

Really you want them to crack on with the daft roboclaim (AS LONG AS YOU TELL THEM TO ERASE ANY OLDER ADDRESS USED) because claim stage is when they'll finally discontinue before any hearing.  They run away. Every time.

More important is for us to get an answer from one if these horrific firms about VAT in the DRA fees because I wonder if some of the players in this industry have even been paying it...

UKPC are definitely VAT registered so VAT applies on the fake added £70.  Hence why the LBC response asks for an explanation to the question "am I paying the PPC's VAT?"  Which HMRC says consumers must not.

No previous letters received...please give your support to this.

So many people don't receive 1st and/or 2nd pcn but the £170 payment due letter often manages to drop through letter boxes. PPCs always claim discounted rate/full rate pcns/court claim letters were sent as dated though they offer no evidence to prove this.

Since they CHOOSE NOT to provide evidence of their posting we must continue to press gov to ensure they do and see it included in the new Parking CoP. Please sign/share @jmccabe petition closes 22nd june 2024.

Thank you. Hope we eventually see you on Umkomaas DCBL discontinuations thread.

Got this response today. Note that the email does include evidence of the car without permit visible (although as I previously stated, I was using my partners permit, just clearly not visible unfortunately). I’m trying to get a picture of their permit at the moment.

There is also attached previous notice letters, but to a previous address that I changed with DVLA in March 2023 (and this is October 2023). I legitimately did not receive these letters. They also stated that they left a physical PCN, but there is no evidence of this.

    Thanks for your help!!

When you changed your address with the DVLA, was that for both your Driving Licence and your vehicle's Registration Document(V5c)? So often the latter gets overlooked.
  • Thanks for your response.

Just my driving license 😞 I guess I thought the two would be connected. Does this leave me with little wiggle room?
