Just transferred some money out been more than 24 hours since I transferred money in. How long it normally take to get switch offer? How you know you done the requirements?

Basic bank accounts are still current accounts so there's no reason why it shouldn't be able to be switched elsewhere. The issue might end up being if Ulster accept you as a customer in the first place, given you hold a basic account.FLAMPARD said:Does a nationwide basic flex count as a current account for switching to ulster please ?0

I received the same message from RBS, but my new Select Account was up and running within 24 hours, and accessible in the app and online.tiger70 said:I've tried signing into the Natwest app after supplying the selfie and passport photo but it says it could take up to 2 working days for the account to open. Anyone else had this ?
Nothing from RBS about my switch from Chase* yet, but there is a flag against my secondary Chase account in their app confirming that it is closing in 7 days and that I'm switching to RBS.
*EDIT - Email now received from RBS confirming that switch has started, with a target date for completion of 08/03/20241

The relevant clause is that you can only benefit from this offer once. Since you don't formally apply for the offer, it is up to them whether to interpret your actions as an attempt at getting additional bonuses, whether pay them or not, and you'd have no cause for complaint if they only paid out once. On the other hand, there is no reason for them to discourage you from improving the success of the campaign by switching in to each brand.GibbonUK said:Just thinking aloud, the legalities and ethics of the triple bonus (RBS, NW, Ulster) are a funny one and it would be interesting to see how a good lawyer could interpret the rules.
Firstly, it says you will not be eligible for this offer if you have received an incentive since 2020. Now, what is the definition of 'received' ?
So if I submit an application for a switch from all 3 on 1st March 2024 (as a new customer). At the time of the application to all 3, I have not received anything, therefore, by the letter of the wording , I'm eligible for all 3 because no incentive has ever been deposited in any account at the time of application.
Then comes the actual request to switch bank accounts. There is no time limit or restriction on switching a bank account. This can be done at any time by anyone with any bank in the CASS . The NW Group will obviously accept a switch at any time outside of 'offers' . So, if I request a switch once the £200 thing has ended and I genuinely want to switch banks for banking reasons, NW wouldn't say 'No' surely just because RBS once paid me some money?
Therefore, the payment of the £200 to you is a choice of the bank. You do not 'request' or make a demand for £200 as part the switch, you just request the opportunity to change banks. The bank themselves choose to pay you a sum of money as part of that switch.
So, if say NW withhold or pay £200 is their choice or 'mistake' you may argue . You never demanded money, you requested a switch.
Ethics or morality....a different discussion maybe?!

NatWest: Assuming you paid in your £1,250 on the 28th and left it there for 24 hours you should get your bonus either on the 1st or 2nd March. The 1st if they're not being strict about the 24 hours, the 2nd if they are.superdayold said:Have I forgot to do something?Natwest switch completed on 28th AM I immediately payed in £1250 (was before my confirmation text from NW, but as soon as Chase told me it was complete). I have logged in to online banking (many times). Never had any swith from the group. Am i being impatient? Money has been in 36 hours. Maybe tomorrow eh?Got RBS confiration of switch completion this morning and just paid in the 1250, so that one is a bit behind.
RBS: 2nd or 3rd March for same reasons.

I left the debit card linked to my original Chase account, and ticked the 'no debit card' option in the switch form. Got confirmation this morning from both RBS and Chase that the switch has been completed.info_maniac said:Those opening a Chase additional account for the switch, are you associating your chase debit card with the new chase account you just opened, or do you lease it linked to the old chase account?1

That's excellent. RBS should actually be 4th or 5th as I forgot that the 2nd and 3rd are on the weekend. They don't pay the bonuses on weekends.superdayold said:

i might get the wife to try a switch into her Ulster Bank account as Ulster Bank made a mistake last time (I think they did with a number of people) and didn't record the switch request on the right date so didn't pay the incentive. However, later agreed it was valid but rather than give the switch incentive gave her an equivalent sum in compensation. So technically she hasn't had a switch incentive from Ulster (although she did get one from elsewhere in the group). Worth a shot I reckon.1
