Anyway, I then transferred in the full £1250. I then, stupidly, thought, I'll use the card, to activate the contactless thing. So spent £31 later the same day that the £1250 hit the account. Therefore, that wasn't in there for the 24 hours . Even though the balance was over that, due to the original switch money.
If no £200 by the end of next week, I'll transfer in a new £1250, and leave it.
When was your switch completion date?0 -

Oddly, I got the £200 paid into my account before the £1250 had been in for 24 hours! Existing NW customer, switch completed yesterday and I transferred the £1250 in yesterday just before 5pm and got the text to confirm money in account just after 4pm today!

Gonna buy my football season ticket tonight.. All paid for by these switches...
Used Chase burner accounts for all 3 switches btw...an absolute breeze!
Your existing bank might cannot penalise you for leaving though some banks will limit opening another account if you open a new one and immediately switch away
Hard searches for a bank account aren't guaranteed without an OD application but they are neither here nor there on an otherwise well run credit history unless you intent to apply for say a mortgage within a few months of the switch
It does seem a bit strange, I have a high credit score but apparently only eligible for 25% of products. It depends on more than the score though doesn't it. Regardless, I'm not planning on getting a loan or a mortgage or a new credit card anytime soon so that should be okay.
I opened a second Barclays account and switched both the first and new accounts out, I didn't care about barclays, they're an awful bank. But as mentioned, I plan on stayng with two of the three banks I'm currently with so want to stay on good terms with them. And even though I'm not planning on staying with TSB long term (definitely for the March switch bonus, maybe the £10 per month until June), I don't think they'd appreciate me opening three new accounts and then switching out of all of them. Plus this might be flagged by these three banks, so I imagine switching from three different banks would be better?
What is an OD application, by the way?0 -

Having just been successful with NatWest and RBS, I couldn’t resist going for Ulster Bank so opened a Chase burner account a couple of hours ago, immediately switching from it (Chase usefully provides you with your complete card number on opening IPs account)! Switch date scheduled for 11/03, meaning that assuming I’m successful I’ll have generated the £600 from these switches! If I’m unsuccessful, I’ll be ok… the £400 I’ve already generated is pretty, pretty, pretty good!!

(Paranoid?) warning: I was just reading a few worrying comments posted to Reddit from people who attempted the tripple switch around six months ago … it seems that a few people, having transferred the £1,250 into their final account, were advised by the NatWest Group that they were revoking all banking services that had been extended to the customers, banning them and freezing the accounts (with instructions about how to gain access to the funds they had deposited sent in the post). It seems like a three month process to get your money back, involving visiting a branch with ID etc.
This is all a bit concerning, I think I’m going to abandon my plans! My Chase switch to Ulster Bank is underway, I think I’m just not going to pursue the £200 incentive. So close to £600, but can’t risk that happening! As it is I have over £4,000 in my new RBS account, it would be catastrophic if I suddenly lost access to it!!

If they were freezing and banning for triple switches then we would have heard all about it on here. Loads of people on here have done the triple switch with no problems whatsoever.
