After what I'm sure is longer than most people have spent on these offers, the final £200 dropped this morning, £600 total and hattrick completed! Thanks to everyone for the help along the way!
  • Just completed my final switch which I started the day the switcher deal ended.  Have done the triple for both myself and spouse.  This has been the best round of switcher bonuses we’ve had with £1200 and so easy without the need for DDs.
Hope everyone else who squeaked in at the last minute are getting their payouts now.
With First Direct closing their deal shortly, there aren’t any others, so hopefully that prompts another banking group to open one.

Yes! I got my hat trick today. I'm happy to have discovered the chase additional accounts too, and will keep my main account with them.

Fingers crossed for another switch soon, I've got my husband and adult kids involved now 😁

    I've only tried Ulster.

I'm a tad confused with them tbh.

So they pestered me to do that online ID thing, I did only the photo/selfie thing which went through as accepted, didn't do that upload document/ID thing, kept getting texts to complete online ID.

Very recently got a form to sign & date & post to Ulster, did that last week.

Today I got a text message saying:
Great news your current account is now open. We've posted out your account details. We'll shortly be sending you an email with instructions on how to access Anytime Internet Banking to manage your account.

So how long for the email?, shortly isn't good enough, been a few hours since getting the text message at 3.54pm and still no email 😏🙄🤣.

Then presumably I'll find out about switch etc later on?🤔

Had 2 more texts from Ulster Bank today, 1st says I've asked for a new PIN, they've ordered it.

    Well I didn't but ok.

2nd says my new debit card is on the way.

Still not had the email they texted me about yesterday

Had another text message from Ulster today, seems like a switch is happening, they have instructed Nationwide to transfer & close on 25/04/24.

Also had an email from Ulster regarding the switch.

Still no email about logging in though.

Ulster are a bit of an odd one, the paper forms you received, they send those to everyone, there is likely a part on them that says if you've passed on online identity verification then you can disregard the paper forms, and if theyve sent you texts saying that they're opening an account and stiching your old one then you did pass the ID check, so forget the letter. As for the other texts, those are normal texts to keep you in the loop once a new account is opened, so they will send you a card and a PIN separately in the post in the next few days. With the emails, it was about 48-72 hours before I got an email with instructions for Anytime Banking (strange they call it this rather than online banking like everyone else), so once that email has landed (check all your folders) you can set that up and then do the same with the app. And once you've set up Anytime Banking they will send you a card reader in the post as well (I found these a bit of a waste, but I've taken the batteries out of these to use in other things and the devices themselves will go in the electronic recycling next time I'm at the local tip). You don't have to register the card reader, but you have a maximum withdrawal of £750 per day if you don't so after you've left your £1250 in the account for 24+ hours, you'll have to move it back out in two chunks rather than one. Fingers crossed all goes smoothly, sounds like you've had an easier time with Ulster than I did (got the cash though)!

    Thanks for the info.

I wasn't sure regarding the ID/signature etc, I thought they would want a driving licence or something (which I don't have) but it seems they don't or someone made a mistake as my account is open, card etc on the way.

Yea I don't get the names & otherwise wording of things either mind you Ulster aren't the only ones.

    Same with timings of things.
