If so, this is the reason you’re not getting the best deal. You need to either recontract with them for a new term (at £28 worst case) or go elsewhere.
Vodafone at £30pm 200meg with a £75 gift card is often available.0 -

My TV package which finishes in July (Signature, Sky Sports, Netflix, Cinema all HD) jumps from £55 pm in May to £65.79 in June which is weird because my contract ends on16th July and Junes bill is between 16 Jun - 15 Jul so pre contract end. Didn't receive any email at all notifying me of this. Think I'll be leaving come July.0

Re: Price increase and termination of Sky Broadband contract.
Just sent this email off to Sky complaints:
"I am currently a new Sky Broadband customer, new installation from 1st February 2024, signed up via a Money Saving Expert (MSE) link, for a monthly rate of £27pm.
Received a letter dated 28th February, saying a price increase of £3.50 would be effective from 1st May.
I phoned customer services and queried how a new contract had no minimum period price hold?
Having checked what options were available, I was told the new price of £30.50 pm was the best deal available to me. As per the letter, I canceled the contract, to disconnect on 25th March, with no early exit fees.
I am still smarting about this and looked again on MSE and found the same deal, £27 pm still being promoted, and having looked closer, it clearly states NO PRICE INCREASE DURING 2024 , see attachment!
I am happy to stay with Sky if the price reverts to the offer price of £27 pm.
Look forward to hearing from you."
p.s. to MSE forum members, no exit fees as my letter states:
"If you're not happy with these changes, you can cancel your Sky Broadband by calling 0344 824 4450, If you're within your minimum contract period, call us within 30 days of getting this letter to avoid early termination charges"

Thanks. Just bought a streaming stick so as soon as I get that, I'm calling Sky to cancel. Apparently decades of 'loyalty' counts for nothing as they aren't loyal to their customers. I've spent too much of my money on them out of contract. £70 for broadband and tv for years.0

SKY certainly work in some weird and not too wonderful ways.0 -
Had a letter through the door today, similar to the above, a £5.50 (13.75%) increase, £2 of which is a reduction in in-contract discount.
Seems ridiculous that they can just remove a negotiated discount, I mean what is the point in negotiating it at all if they can just remove it in April? Might as well just be an "x months" discount rather than listed as an "in contract" one.
I feel quite misled to be honest, especially as I have the best part of a year to go before I can leave without early termination charges. Has anyone gone to any media outlets about this? Price increases I get and know what's been agreed to but reducing discounts seems like behaviour more suited to Virgin Media than Sky.
They've 100% lost me as a customer over this (the principle more than the £2 p/m) I feel like I've been lied to and mis-sold a contract under false pretences! Complaint is in, but don't expect much of a resolution, although I will enjoy the cancellation phone call in December.0
