Overall they are looking for an extra £5.50.pm
My Sports package is going up £3 ! Full price is only going up £1 ,but they have reduced the in contract discount from £7pm down to £5pm. Not sure if that's correct tho'.
Surely if I'm in an 18 month deal , the discounts should remain the same in ££ even if the base price increases?
I have exactly the same issue. My.understanding is they could rise the prices of the default package option, but couldn't change contractually agreed discounts.

This is the first year it's more then £2-£5 for me, I'm looking for some help whether it looks like they are in breach of contract or not. To me I think they have just gone over the contract limits

    Total Bill: £80.25 to £90.25 (+£10, 12.5%)

    Internet: £34.50 to £38 (+£3.50, +10%)
    Phone: £5.75 to £8 (+£2.25, +39%)

    Signature: £18 to £18.25 (+£0.25, +1%)
    Sports:£8 to £11 (+£3, +37%)
    Cinema: £12 to £13 (+£1, +8%)

And just in case this looks weird to anyone, I got an extra discount on sports because they "couldn't lower broadband today" so now broadband is horrific. Hoping I can break contract with that now they have increased it, but no experience of this
You can get the "£2 reduced discount" on Sky Sports complete pack" fixed by getting in touch with them.
The increase should only be £1 per month.
I've read of a couple of people managing to achieve discounts on other items or credit or a mix of both.
When I'm complained they ended up crediting £20 to my account and also adding further discount to UHD for example

    @brewerdave

Thanks for flagging this up. I hadn’t got round to checking my future bills yet but have now and found I have exactly the same issue.

I called Sky and at first all they said the only thing they could do to reduce my costs was for me to upgrade, after I insisted that this increase was wrong they agreed to reduce my Signature price by the £2.

So now a £3.50 increase rather than £5.50.

    Thanks again.

  • I just started a new contract with Sky in November can I use this as an excuse to cancel without any penalty?

Don't believe so as it will have been covered in the T&Cs you've already agreed to.

Not if you're still under contract as the April price increase is part of their t&c. If you're out of contract you can always phone them to see if they have any deals, it will mean another 18 month contract with a price increase in April this year/and or next April.

Not impressed by this. Up £8.  Anything I can do? An extra £96 per year.

I still haven't had a formal communication from Sky re the post April prices. I'm currently only going off the Future Bills page on the website. Has everyone else had a letter or email ??
