Aww pigpen I have just recovered from man flu so I have a lot of sympathy x
Out last night at a birthday party at a local pub/function room. DS and GF came to collect me to take me home and brought their friends so I ended up on the dance floor with a load of 25 year olds. I felt old but it was fun. Didn't get to bed until 1am.
Despite only having 3 alcoholic drinks I feel a bit bleugh this morning and have just got out of my Pj's. I need to make plans for the week.
I have managed to clean the kitchen, put DW on and have a general tidy. The rain has finally stopped here, a walk probably wouldn't be a bad idea.

Hugs to the poorlies
Yesterday I was good and dusted/swept/cleaned the kitchen and did WMx2 and TDx3.
Today I've replenished the indoor log store and generally pottered about.
We have a nice sunny day here today but it's still a bit too nippy to be outside for long.
DS and I are off to the local garden centre after lunch to have a mooch around.I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Recyling outCats fedKitchen sortedLarge chain saw has been out, I have cut down some of the logs that were too big to get into the woodburner, more to do at another time, OH came out and made kindling from the odd bits in the log store swept up, all looks so much better. Pulled about 10 weds out of the strawberry bed, loads more to do.Drained the water butts down about 1/2 inch, as they are just flooding all over the place, overflow water removed to soggy part of garden.Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

If the paint splashes the rabbits, will it show? I have a vision of dotty bunnies...Valli said:im using the rabbit run as a makeshift workbench. Rabbits not a bit bothered.
GWS Piggers x
Yesterday I worked hard on the admin and completed my Safeguarding course, filled in yet another form for the horse piddle, and transferred our answers to the EcoChurch survey from paper to website.
So far today I have been to church, put lunch on the table, and emptied all the overflowing bins from under the kitchen sink. As soon as I have finished my coffee, I'm going to take Rosie for a walk up the big hill - which means driving 15 min there and back, but is worth it for the view. Then I'm cooking a roast dinner for us, K and the girls. W is staying over with us, as I'm taking her to London for the day tomorrow as her birthday treat, and it will be an early start. I must check train times tonight (I don't have to book ahead when using my retired staff spouse's pass, courtesy of DH) and plan what we're going to do and see in 5-6 hours max. - no. 11 bus from Trafalgar Square to the City is a good route. DH will stay home with Rosie, and L will come and walk her as usual on a Monday.
Will see you over on the new thread. Enjoy what remains of the weekend xxx6 -
Enjoy your day tomorrow Iona. The sun is shining, albeit still cold, so Poppet has had a second walk today. Had to tempt her out of my armchair.Spend less now, work less later.6

After a horrendous journey to Mum's on Thursday evening - driving rain and wet roads - I've just had a much nicer drive home in the sun. So all my weekend flying has been at Mum's. Her new front path is coming on a treat, it will be so much safer for her (wider, flatter, no gaps between bricks to trip over/lose shopping trolley wheels down etc) and hence one less thing to worry about for me and DB.
Mr N comes home tomorrow yippee ONE MORE SLEEP so I'm making sure I have unpacked everything back from Mum's. Have vacuumed downstairs.
At Mum's I sewed up the pair of gloves I'd just knitted and have almost finished another one.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.6 -
Evening all, so sorry I've been quiet the past couple of weeks. Needed a break from social media etc..
Hope everyone is doing ok.
Hope your flu isn't too bad Piggers, get well soon
Enjoy your day tomorrow Iona
So glad MrN is coming home tomorrow Narco, let's hope he doesn't go away again 😊
Haven't really done much the past couple of weeks, pottered about when I've felt like it but now I'm feeling more human again now the Drs have finally decided to give me the right tablets.
DH has cooked a lovely roast lamb birthday meal for me to tonight and we have a homemade spicy lemon cake for pudding that I made last night. I've given him instructions to put a solitary candle in it later....hey I want to blow out something...lol
He also spoilt me too by getting me this....
And with finally getting my late Christmas present, my new car, on Tuesday I'm a happy bunny now. 😉 (just need to get rid of the piles and thrush!)
I'm off to read the rest of the thread while waiting for tea. See you over on the new thread 😘
