Santander CC stops working - yet again

For the fourth time in under a year the chip on my CC has failed totally - no contactless, no PIN. The latest card has lasted under a month.
Other cards have lasted years without problems.
Has anyone else had similar problems - and have they rectified them without getting a CC with another provider.

To be honest if it has happened four times in less than a year it must be something to do with the cardholder.

Do you keep cards next to each other rubbing or near magnets or against a mobile phone etc?
Have you tried loading it into Google or Apple pay?Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:

Maybe OP could say just what stopped working means?
ie. what type of transactions or what they are doing at the time.
Could be that it is just using contactless & needs PIN entering or anything else..Life in the slow lane0 -
Unlikely to be magnets. That used to be an issue with older mag-stripe cards. I remember the old Psion handhelds could wipe a card at ten paces thanks to a strong magnet in the speaker!
Physical damage or electrostatic discharge are possible?
