Day 9 of No Unnecessary Spending, and it seems to be going well so far.
Went out to the theatre last night, but these were tickets bought for me as a present weeks ago.
Took the train but I don't count travel expenses as part of this challenge. Like petrol or car maintenance costs, it's a necessary spend. I don't use a car and only use public transport when I it's too far or inconvenient to walk or cycle.
I did get a good deal on the train by booking early and using a Two Together railcard.
It was a great night out and really made me think about how to prioritise my spending.
I'm aiming for less "clutter" and more experiences.2 -
Just a thought- what is everyone planning for Valentine's Day?
The shops are piled high with Valentine's "gifts", most of it absolute tat, none of them I want to give or receive.
What not-buying ideas have you come up with?1 -
