Co Op Switch offer (seen 15th January 2024)

Predictably, our enquiry as to when the £50 would be paid, drew this response:
"Thank you for your message. As part of the terms and condition both of these accounts need to be open for you to be able to receive the second £50 incentive. From looking at your account I can see the current account is no longer an active account. Therefore you would not qualify for the £50 save incentive."
We've replied asking them to point out where in the T&Cs this clause is shown...2 -

The emails we both had at beginning of Feb said we would have to keep the £25 in Savings Account until 13 March and hey presto they paid the £50 on that date. Surprised really seeing as normally anything to do with the Coop Bank usually has a delay involved.Although, despite the £25 having been deposited in her Online Saver since end of Jan, they decided to pay it into the RS that has only been open since 7 March....bit strange but hey ho its the Coop 😅
EDIT: ah this explains it as hadn't seen (or read maybe) the email this was in"If you have two open eligible savings accounts at the time of payment and have met the eligibility criteria*, we will pay the savings bonus into your most recently funded account."Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

And this was today's message:
"Thanks for your message. You're right, If customers qualify and receive the £100 Current Account switch incentive, the additional £50 savings bonus will be paid within 60 days of the switch completing as long as you have at least £25 in your eligible savings account on day 45 after your eligible current account switch. So your completed switch date was the 12/02/2024, so I can see that your Savings account ending 9016 was opened also on the 12/02/2024 and you credited £30.00 13/02/2024. So 60 days after the 12/02/2024 is when you'll receive the additional £50.00 so around the 12/04/2024. Please note that the team are currently working through these. Kind regards"
So, now we wait and see!2 -

I've had similar wording as you, they've confirmed/admitted I've qualified but told me to wait until the 60 days after the switch is up.
I'm not 100% convinced as other 12/02/2024 switchers have been paid out already, but rhyme-or-reason seems to be in short supply at the co-op :-)2 -
@Antbingley hi, that's three of us on here that switched out early, @bobeschism also did but doesn't seem to be bothered about the £50...
Just a waiting game now.1 -

Just a waiting game now.I've reinstalled the Coop appMy switch completed on the 8th, and I opened the Saver on the 15th so I'll keep my eye on it in light of your recent email exchanges, thanks.1 -
How often does Co-Op have switch offers? I am considering them as a replacement to my 2nd/back-up bank account (currently Nationwide) but don't want to switch now if they are likely to have a switch offer soon. Thanks.0

Edit, the last 3 offers in 2022/3 were all "refer a friend", as far as I can see the last actual account switch offer was back in 2016.1 -
No cashback yet for my son who switched out early. Still, he's done okay from the others. Do you know if TSB offer switch money often? We missed that one.0

Got my £50 so £150 in total. This will be the last of my switches for quite a while as we have had everything (some twice when we should not have) but our last ones to TSB and FD did not pay out, it was borderline on TSB so not exactly surprised, but think we will give it all a rest for 12 month now.Totally Debt Free & Mortgage Free Semi retired and happy0
