The new furniture sounds lovely. I'm sure you will sit there admiring it - I would!

I hope you're feeling better now.

The garden furniture sounds great especially with the wood not coming into contact with the ground.  What a good idea!

Just to mention that you don't have to take your pension when it is due, you can defer it & get 1% extra for every 9 weeks you defer.

I think OBL is already drawing her pension in order to reduce the hours she was working.

  • The good news is the state pension is paid every 4 weeks so you will get at least 13 lots of 800 a year not 12, plus the winter heating allowance once a year.

I think she has her NHS pension but not yet state pension as I think she is not yet 66. Given her health though I would imagine she would like her state pension asap particularly as money is tight and she would probably want to stop work altogether.

Yes I did mean state pension although I realise I didn't say that.  It is all a juggle though.  If finances are tight sometimes it can be worth having them tight for a little bit longer so you can have a future where they are not quite so tight.  If you know your options you can make your choices.  The first thing here though is to make sure OBL has the full entitlement & if not why not & can it be fixed.

Well I had a busy day on Monday as I decided to work on my bedroom so one wall is now finished with paint I actually like. I moved my bed over to that wall with the intention of doing the wall where the bed usually is yesterday when Igor home from mum and dads but pain stopped play so it’s not been done.

Yesterday I went to Mum and Dads to get my hair cut and mum needed to go shopping and wanted me to go with her so we went to Mr Ms which is down the road. My niece gave us a lift down there and we got taxi back. I started to feel ill while we were walking round and was in agony by the time we finished 😩I then went back to mums to help her with her shopping before going into town to get my own shopping then home to rest my bones . It’s a good I went with Mum because she was typing the numbers to her debit card in the machine without putting the card in, she had got used to doin contactless but it was over the limit.

Today I haven’t done much at all apart from one load of washing and reading/ sleeping.

Tomorrow I am planning on taking some things to the charity shop I have piled them up in bags on the landing so they will get on my nerves if they don’t go. I don’t like clutter so will hopefully feel well enough to take them tomorrow. If I am better I will also paint the wall in my bedroom when I get back. I’m working on Friday but then have 6 days off to catch up on some jobs. I’m hoping to finish the bedroom over the weekend. The chair I am painting is coming along nicely, I think one more coat should do it. It will have had three coats of paint when it’s finished but I put them on thinly so as not to get drips.

    Edited to add
I’ve also been watching the new drama but the people who made Peaky Blinders which is loved. It’s called This Town and I’m really enjoying it.

I’m also doing well with my Goodreads book challenge which I stupidly set at 30 books. I’m on book 12 and it’s only April so I think I should have made it a bit more challenging. The book I’m about to start now is The Last Devil To Die by Richard Osman I love his books and this is the fourth in the series with a new one to preorder coming soon. One of my bosses at work has loaned it to me and I need to crack on with it because one of the other bosses wants to read it next
