I didn’t get to sleep until 3am last night because I was having one of my I’m not sleepy moments, I’ve been going to bed at 8ish every night and either reading or looking as stuff on my iPad and that’s been working really well becasue as soon as I feel tired I can just close my eyes and drop off to sleep. If I spend the evening downstairs then go up to bed when I’m actually tired I wake up for a couple more hours. Last night I was reading my book which I wanted to get finished so that’s why I was awake until 3am 🙂
I woke up at 10.30 and went down to put some washing on then made breakfast to take back to bed where I caught up on my socials 😀 I had to turn the shower up from cool to warm today as it was bit cooler than it has been, it’s nice on my achey muscles though.I decided to walk down to the train station to catch my bus into town because it was lovely and sunny and I thought the fresh air would do me good. I stopped to get my breath back and watch the swans with their bums sticking out of the water while they fished for food which always makes me laugh, they had several juveniles with them too which was nice to see. I got a bus into town and posted my paperwork for the ESA people, I used a different post box as well just in case 😀 then I went and bought my bits of shopping. I was after some soda crystals but they had sold out so I will have to get them another time, I also needed a replacement cat litter scoop because I use one to poop scoop the coop and mine had snapped in half, Wilkos didn’t have any but I found one in Sainsburys and it was only £1 so that was a bargain.Managed to get home in time to fetch the washing in before it started to rain again, it was only a very short shower but I would have been gutted if my washing got wet, it wasn’t completly dry but it’s gone on the clothes horse now the other stuff has dried and it will get ironed tomorrow.
i bought some pizza express cooking sachets the other day and tonight I made a chicken garlic and basil creamy pasta dish which was sooooooo tasty. It made four quite large portions so I’ve got some for tomorrow and two in the freezer, I think if I hadn’t been greedy tonight and had a massive portion I could have got five portions out of it or maybe six if eating it with garlic bread and a side salad so will experiment next time. I’ve also decided that from tomorrow I’m going to have my main meal at lunch time as now I go to bed quite early it’s too late to eat my main meal in the evening. I’m having issues with eating at the moment so trying to find the best way to work it out for me. I want to eat as in I get hungry but I don’t want anything, I look at food and it just makes me feel sick, I’ve spent the last week eating mainly toast and digestive biscuits or cereal. Tonight I made myself eat the pasts dish and it was lovely so that was good as I only had toast for lunch. Also waiting for me on the doormat was a letter from HMRC telling me my tax code , I read the letter and at the bottom it’s listed as I’m receiving ESA 😡😡 so I phoned them straightaway, I didn’t get to speak to anyone though as I was on hold for 45 minutes by which time it was 5.30 and I presumed they were finished for the day. I’m going to have a look at it online but I couldnt remember my gov gateway id and I can’t reset it because I only have one from or personal ID and you need two, I’m sure I’ve got it written down somewhere so will have a look tomorrow otherwise I will be phoning them again on MondayOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8945 -
What a frustrating experience all this must be for you. I’m glad you’re taking the step by step approach and feel you’re moving along a timeline. I can’t imagine any reasonable excuse for all this delay and incompetence from the various organisations involved in the process. I wonder if your ESA claim keeps getting picked up by a different caseworker who then starts it off from scratch again.I really hope everything is sorted soon 🤞I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3

Slow start to my day today as I woke up feeling shattered ☹️so fell asleep for another couple of hours. It was sunny and very windy so I took advantage and washed my towels so I could peg them out and they did dry 🍾🥳🍾
I had the pasta thing again today and happy to report it reheats well, I had it for lunch and as i suspected that is much better for me. I just had a sandwhich for tea and now I’m not in bed feeling like I’ve eaten loads so I will carry on with that.
Other jobs that were done today was just sweeping and tidying the patio, lots of leaves are falling in the wind and I want to keep on top of them this year so I swept them all up. They will go on my borders or in the chicken run.
I didn’t want to do too much because I’ve been quite achey so have to be careful but I’m happy with what I got done. I did want to do a small walking workout on my walking pad but didn’t feel up to it in the end, I’m hoping I will be able to do it tomorrow
I’m at home again tomorrow but I’m not sure what I’m going to get up to. If it’s nice I might do some more bits on the garden. I didn’t do my ironing today so will also do that tomorrowOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8944 -

I was woken up at 6am today by apocalyptic rain plus a few rumbles of thunder, I got quite excited there was going to be a storm but sadly not ☹️ I then fell asleep and didn’t wake up until 11.30 😳 good job I didn’t have any plans today. I still feel like I’m coming down with something but I don’t think I actually am I think it’s possibly the change in the season as it’s quite damp here at the moment which doesn’t agree with me. It that’s inbetween time where it’s not warm and dry but its not cold enough to put the heating on. I am better when it’s properly cold outside and I can have the heating on inside. Lovely rainy day though interspersed with some sunny bits.I spent the day pottering and relaxing as I’m still a bit achey but again this could be worse because I’m relaxing 😀I tend to feel better when I’m moving more. I was going to go out and do some bits in the garden but my energy levels were just not high enough, there will come a point where I will just force myself and I will probably be fine 🙂. I think I need to work out some sort of schedule for day to day things because since I’m not working I feel a bit unstructured. I’m used to having days where I have to be somewhere for 8 hours a day then everything else has to be fit in around that but now I just keep thinking oh I can just do it tomorrow but then nothing is getting done. I think I’ll do myself a little timetable for inside and outside days and treat it like going to work if that makes sense .
I’ve planned to take myself off to my local garden centre tomorrow for a wander round and a coffee. I need to buy some orchid compost and some peanuts for the squirrels plus garden canes if they’ve got any. I’m hoping to carry on building my dead hedge at the top of the garden now we’ve had lots of rain and it will hopefully be soft up there again. I couldn’t do it over the summer like I had planned because it was just to hot. I’ve been watching some YouTube videos of this young man and his relatives who go around clearing peoples gardens for them ,they do an amazing job and I noticed today they had these brilliant electric secateurs so I went off to investigate thinking they would be good for me but they are very expensive so I’ve given up on that idea 😀 I’ll stick with my manual ones and my loppers thankyou 😀
I’ve also joined a couple of retirement groups on FB and some one was on about going on holiday which set me thinking I would love a week away somewhere, I know I can’t go but it was nice dreaming.Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8947 -
I'd never heard of electric secateurs but why don't you ask for money towards them at Christmas? Also keep an eye on the Gardener's World competitions, some of the prizes are really nice! (And you can always do competitions for holidays too).I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
The sun's been out and I think I’m solar powered (Onebrokelady)
