Doing SB whilst Mum & Daughter are watching Married at First Sight Australia is a pleasure.

Thanks mjm3346, unluckily (or luckily) I was late to the SB party so don't know any different (videos in background no effort sounds great) but given the recent changes and as I have now re-entered the workforce I am looking for alternatives to keep my better half in Amazon vouchers, could buy them but no fun.

I am, rightly or wrongly, feeling disrespected by SB. When the 'Amazon is free' comes up in family / friend discussions I have always strongly advised against joining because of time v money (nobody else has joined) but as my failed attempt at early retirement has demonstrated I have too much time v's other things.

I am in my 15th year of early retirement and have supplemented my income with over £30k in that time from free internet activity (competitions, surveys etc) I think it's harder now than it was but I have cut back over the last 4 or 5 years so comparisons are not easy - my state pension kicks in later this year but because I like 3 survey sites I use I will possibly stick with them although their income wouldn't matter they do have charity options.

MTA: Typically for Swagbucks, the link has not gone live yet, and is redirecting to the last Team Challenge.  Just keep trying now and then and eventually it will come live.

The link is now live, rather than erroneously redirecting.

Yes they’re obsessed with your occupation and your purchasing power. The discovery surveys get worse. You used to get 1sb on thermo or in brain
I understand the head of household occupation question - it's class classification.

The household income question is illogical if they do not also ask how many people are in the household.  £50K for a single person household is surely significantly different from £50K for a couple with two children in terms of disposable income/discretionary spend.
  • I'm surprised this is 'mega popular'.  The surveys can be rewarding at times but this relatively rare.  I find that it is far more likely that I am ineligible over and over again, after answering loads of 'I am not a robot' and classification questions - easy to waste 10-15 minutes for nothing.
Worse, playing games is very low rewards and I reckon about 50% of the time they do not track and I receive nothing.  Once in 4 times has customer service sorted it.  At the moment, they are totally ignoring my requests, 3 so far, about one for 4000 points, worth £40 when I earned them.  Earlier, lower paid level tracked ok, but this has not and they will not respond to me at all.  £40 is a lot to lose.
Just earned another level on another game - nothing paid out, again.
I will give up playing games and am likely to give up on Swagbucks altogether.

Makes you wonder why MSE promote a site that can pay pence an hour for some tasks, fail to pay for others and is mostly knocked by Swagbucks users
  • After I previously posted, complaining about not being paid for reaching various levels when playing games, I was then paid for the latest.  Even better, I was paid for the one I had been waiting weeks for. Pity it is worth about £8 less now as the 'exchange rate' has deteriorated so much.

However, I am very happy that they have paid up.

I wonder if posting here had an effect, I did say I was going to use social media as they weren't responding. Perhaps I should have made more fuss in the past when it happened.

Strangely, I no longer have any links to play any new games ... not sure if it is a tech glitch or they have decided to stop me.
  • Re previous post ... seems to be a tech glitch ... I can sign up for further games, but the link only appears sometimes!
  • They've reduced the cashback on shopping now, I get a weekly order for my Mom through SB and it WAS 1%.

Now its 0.8%. Suppose its more pruning.
