Anyone found any decent 32" bargains recently?0

Still the CRT dinasors wont admit that a GOOD Hd set that "upscales" is far superiour to the old CRT, yes even in SD. anyway what CRT is 42" or 50". why do people keep posting opinions as fact? all i can say is youve never seen a decent flat screen set up properly. "Always going to look bad" is absolute rubbish0

when they see an LCD which does they'll let you know.
It's an open secret in the electronics press that an SD image presented on on an HD panel is not up to CRT standard. The problem will get worse as BBC freeview bandwidth is restricted to accomodate the three new HD channels (as well as the existing rubbish, like gems tv etc), so excaserbating the pixallation in the first place. So holding off purchase of LCD until this upscaling problem is resolved is not neccessarily a bad idea - plus the cost of the panels is set to continue to fall in price.0 -

Don't hijack a thread by debating merits or otherwise of CRT over LCD. If you can help the OP find an LCD fine, otherwise start own thread in appropriate forum. Hope this helps with your ignorance.A shadowy flight into the dangerous world of a man who does not exist.

Can anyone tell me if this is any good, or if there are any better 32'' LCD's around for £300ish? I'm not too bothered if it doesn't have Freeview.

This one seems ok, but the contrast ratio of 800:1 seems very low. Would this make a big difference?0 -
Think it'd better to stick to John Lewis with their 5 year guarantee, worth the extra bit.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0
