Nor does my house insurance. Renewal up 26%!  And that despite losing the inbuilt worldwide travel insurance due to age limits. Managed to renew with 'just' a 12.6% increase. Car insurance due in March, yikes!

Gas and electricity prices are lower than they were 12 months before. Much much lower than the real prices, but inflation calcs will use EPG figures from last year.

Interesting that the US inflation went slightly up again but their economy seems to be a lot more resilient.

For this to happen the CPI (the index rather than the percentage change) would need to fall slightly from where it was in November over the remainder of the financial year. Not saying it won't happen.
