DCB Legal just rang me. Told me that if it goes to court I'll get a CCJ. Told them I wasn't interested in mediation. Very pushy once again telling me that because the permit wasn't displayed and that's the charge and images show it wasn't displayed it's a black and white case and there's no chance I'll win in court and could face a fine, court fees and a CCJ. Told them I didn't want to settle and I'd take my chances. Woman on the end of the phone was very frustrated. Loudly sighed and was short with me saying 'well just make sure you answer our calls moving forward' when putting the phone down cos she didn't get her commission I imagine. Absolutely awful behaviour. I genuinely don't know how they get away with it all without harassment charges.
That is disgusting and a pack of lies!

I wish you had recorded that call!

Can you call them back tomorrow or this week and say you felt confused, and ask them to clarify (and record her on another phone)?

I want evidence for the Government.

I want recordings of sighing and lying.

DON'T record your name or hers at the start. Just the main conversation please.  Your call could really help the new Code and statutory regime in 2025 because I'm on the Code Steering Group.

    I need evidence.

They are lying about the CCJ. Don't let on that you know that only happens if you lose AND don't pay within 30 days.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

This is why we tell people, no phone calls, only in writing

They will always try coercion and misleading statements

You should email the court with both claim numbers asking for them to be merged asap, I thought I told you that previously. ?

If you lost in court you would get a Judgment

To swerve the recording of the CCJ aspect on your credit file you get a 30 days grace period to pay DCB Legal in full, so no CCJ

If its a black and white case, strange how there are nearly 450 discontinued cases in the tally thread by Umkomaas on here

No more answering their calls, block them
I have emailed the court and asked then to merge twice now. I have no further court letter as of yet so I'm hoping it's just this one case with the merged details for court

For the witness statement do you set it out like 'paragraph discussing signage please see exhibit A' and then put exhibit A under that paragraph? or do you make all your points 'please see exhibit A for signage.' then another paragraph 'as shown in exhibit B Beavis sign' and then add all the imagery/videos at the end? I am still unable to get a copy of the contract between the company and the owner of the car park. Managers have been extremely unhelpful and just telling the driver to pay up.
Also I'm defending as the keeper not the driver but can I still give evidence of the car park signage etc even if just keeper?

Look at these recent examples of exemplare witness statement that you can copy for format and style.  Obviously the content will be to suit your defence.

Does anyone know hw to add video evidence? Video was taken of the car park to show lack of signs and a v ideo was taken by the drivr to show that the tax disc holder lost its stick. I've tried sending these from my phone to my email but it says theyre too big so i dont know how to get them small enough to add to my email with WS

You cannot add them to emails

You would have to hand deliver to the court on a durable medium, also sending a copy to the lawyers ( or claimant   )

Okay so m witness statement is due by 4pm on 16th January. This is my 1st draft https://1drv.ms/w/c/67159a05d5ad89c2/EQ5idmYnYm1Fko_ZOSY7H1ABD9OtANKnfCuJlpYDxo7YBA?e=Gk2Yvc
Any advice greatly appreciated. I wasnt sure what to put on costs assessment to be honest as its fallen on my day off work, i have no children and will be taking my own car to park at the court. (Think i may have to pay for parking though) so should i add that?
