Always best to prepare witness statement whilst everything is fresh in your mind, help with witness statements is in the NEWBIE sticky where there are several exemplars and exhibits.

I've received a 2nd N180? Its for the 2nd claim but in my defence i asked them to join them together. Does thiss mean they havent read defence or are they still planning for 2 claims? Do I still complete the N180?

Yes and state in it and in the body of the email that this case should be consolidated for one hearing with claim number xxxxxxx as they both involve the same facts, same alleged contract, same location and parties etc.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • Lovely thankyou I will do :)
  • Just had a 2nd email for a mediation appointment. Looks like they're going through with 2 claims still...what do I do about it? They're just not listening to the fact it should be 1 apparently :/

Attend the mediation; it takes all of five minutes. Don't accept any offers - unless they want to give you money!

Just had my first mediation appointment. Very pushy at times these people. Saying the vehicle breached the contract because the permit wasn't displayed and so they have images showing it wasn't displayed so the vehicle definitely breached so it would be wise to enter negotiation.
Didn't do it. Told them I wanted to go to court but the way she made it sound so black and white has me concerned that in court it'll just be sided with them.

We wouldn't expect any different, they always believe that they have a case, until it gets close to a hearing

There are over 419 examples of lawyers thinking they are correct and have a case in the Discontinuations thread by Umkomaas on here, yet by discontinuing the case its clear that they were on shaky ground, but until that point they stubbornly carried on with intimidating calls and letters etc

    Think about this
