I swear I'm living in a sitcom but an old one that isnt funny anymore....
I took the turkey out to rest, moved the roast spuds to the bottom and slammed in the bacon, sausage, stuffing and parsnips. Went back half an hour later, cold oven, oven is brokenI really can't afford a new oven right now, and it's one of those ones thats fitted in waaaah, so can't even buy a cheap one, Merry Christmas gah!
On a happier note, I grilled the raw food, seemed ok, couldn't eat much due to high stress levels. Glad now as usually I'd be crying by now about being fullHad a lovey day with my boys
The babies are in bed already, couple of hours on PC before TV snuggles with my fella, the day has got better since sitcom Christmas dinner moment

Dinner was lovely, but the afternoon was spoiled by 8-year-old niece who decided to physically attack Mum's friend with Alzheimers who was also here; she went for her with her nails and basically tried to rip her cheeks off her face completely unprovoked. Left her hurting and crying, confused because she thought she'd spoiled Christmas and didn't understand why. The niece is now banned permanently from the house; I don't want to be associated with someone who can behave like that especially to a vulnerable old lady.0

Had a wonderful piece of belly pork with crackling to die for.
None of the supermarket !!!! meat. Local Butcher and outside free roaming reared pork. Cost a lot but worth every penny.
MMMM.. I wish I had some left but I had to feed 5 with it0 -

Woah! What's up with the child? My kids are 3 and 11, they would never, ever do something like that, is she usually unstable?"The great pleasure of a dog is that you may make a fool of yourself with him and not only will he not scold you, but he will make a fool of himself too."- Samuel Butler0 -
I had a new kitchen in the summer so this was the first time I've really needed to use both ovens. I've already notcied cakes take a little longer so I upped the heat a bit but the turkey took an extra hour! I bought an organic one from Mr T for £7.14, reduced from £34 yesterday. Delayed everything so everything cooked perfectly and much easier when not needing to juggle dishes from shelf to shelf - roasted most of the veg (potatoes, carrots, parsnips, onion, swede, sprouts, broccoli) so just gravy on top and all was done.
I washed up whilst they ate Christmas pud. I bought a huge pot of extra thick double cream from Mr T for 15p so that saved making custard (we just stirred in a little brandy)
Late lunch = no mention of tea yet! All the better!Doing voluntary work overseas for as long as it takes .......
My DD might make the odd post for me0 -

Had dinner at the MILs which was fine. I made pudding, cheesecake and it was lovely, and she knew I was bringing something. When I told her two weeks ago that I would do it she said that we would need to have 3 puddings then as she had bought two already so I said I wouldnt bring one then if she already had two but she said bring it anyway. OH told her that since what she had bought was frozen there was no need to defrost it. Well we got there, ate my pudding and she says there are two more puddings now. She defrosted them anyway just incase I forgot to bring mine! Me and OH werent impressed. Brother in law managed a tiny bit of hers since we had all ate mine already. Dont you just love Outlaws!
