  • £8.68 cashed out from Pr0lific! I am debating whether to use any survey money this month to round my EF up to the £2000...I am only £50 away from it! I *think* we have enough money to see us through this month, kids are away an entire week, and I have around £200 left in the grocery budget.......it might give me something to aim for, otherwise the money is going into assigned and getting lost on the day to day budget.

  • Okay I am going to leave it in my account. I have £170 in the day to day spend account/ grocery budget and I have another £85 due into that account this month bringing it to £255....this might seem like a bit of a stretch but I am going to try and make that money last until the 31st.......wish me luck :joy:
If I can manage it I will have £308 still in tact in the bonus money account to divvy up for three months (£102.66 per month), not a lot but every little helps eh and will go somewhat towards the extra for the new mortgage!

  • It was a NSD yesterday so the money is still in tact.
We got a message at just gone 5pm yesterday from our buyers saying they'd agreed to the completion date so it's all a go now 👏🏡❤️ I've got less than two weeks to pack up!

We confirmed the removals could do that date as soon as we got the message and that was a yes too!

Just need to sign contracts and exchange first .. hopefully this week still.

DD finally got hold of her packing list for camp. Seems lots of kids were complaining (well I suspect their parents were rather than them). I need to buy her a black swimsuit. Also a few small things although I forget what ...I will check it again this morning..in fact that will be our job today. Packing for camp. Then I can forge ahead and pack their rooms. They will be home from camp and we move two days later! So I can pretty much pack everything up whilst they're gone.

I'm feeling excited rather than stressed at the moment but that is liable to change as it's too hot for much packing and I still do have a lot to do (I've done at least half the house already though!)

Love that you can get rooms packed while they are away at camp - they come back to a continuation of camp until the move.      After all the palaver at the start this has really come round so quickly now.
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!
  • Thanks all

Well right after I posted that I decided to get up and crack on. The heat gets too much as the day goes on and at 6-7am this morning it was bearable. I have mild symptoms of heat stroke, I often suffer from it, have done since I was small so I know how to cope with it. The dizzy and nausea  are particularly bad as the day goes on. Yesterday I didn't do much after feeding the kids lunch, DP had to cook dinner (can you guess what it was? Sausages & new potatoes - we are still going through them all  ) I had a horrible headache and tummy ache.

So anyway, I have done 3 solid hours of packing, cleaning as I go, and sorting. We have one huge bag of charity stuff, I have listed a few large items on FB for free collection otherwise I will tip them later. Mine & DP bedroom & the large cupboard we have is done! Every drawer emptied now and we have this morning made a condensed wardrobe for 2 weeks. DP had to leave out a suit in case he gets the job interview before the move and I left out a few dresses, so we have a few hanging items still and the rest is in a case each. I've hoovered and cleaned the room and I threw away 4 toiletries items that I haven't touched in probably a year.

I went through our hallway cupboard too. There is two hoovers, iron, ironing board, two wash baskets and some towels left in there. I left DP shaving stuff out too. Easy enough to chuck in a box or carry straight out.

DD room, omg, it looks worse than it did before if that is even possible. Also I found a hidden pouffe in there I forgot about. :grimace:

I am sat in front of the fan, I really need to get all the bits out to the garage that I have carried down from our room- we are packing indoors and carrying out the majority to maintain some semblance of normalcy. I'm too hot though. I need to cool down first  Thankfully our garden is shady first thing so I won't be in the sun.

I've asked DP whilst he is out to look for a cheap sports shop on the way around his appointments and to see if he can find a cheap swimsuit for DD. She isn't allowed to wear a bikini and it's all she seems to have :frowning:

Every time I think I am getting somewhere with the packing I remember about something else that needs doing :cold_sweat: My aim therefore is to be super organised and have the entire house bar, shower stuff, tea and plates and food we will need & obviously clothes, done by next Friday. That gives me quite a while to pack their camping stuff, pack the house and if we have forgotten anything at that point we have a few days to sort it out.

As I sit under the fan, my vision board is opposite me and if all goes to plan we will have manifested everything on the board. This would be my quickest manifestation completed fully ever...!DP has one next to it for his new job. He basically wrote down all the things he loves doing and put it out there and a new job role was created...and it is basically the vision board he has created, so I really hope he gets this one. The last one was all internal politics so he was never destined to get that one, and he admits he didn't really want it he just wanted the benefits of what came with the job  so this is way better.

I'm up to £3 on Prolif1c with around £8 waiting for approval, and nearly at payout on another one I do every now and then (they are long and boring on there so I don't do them often).

Might be another NSD but I am not expecting that many more this month tbh, I have said to DP I will buy food as and when we need it, I spent £80 odd quid on food the other day but lots of that was stocking up fruit, yoghurts, snacks rather than just meals. So, ummmmmmmm, burgers for dinner anyone? That way I won't need to go out. I actually have buns in for them so we can have burgers in buns with more potatoes, perhaps this time I will halve the potatoes and make wedges instead of boiling them. Exciting, I know.

I think most bills have gone out now for the month, I will start changing addresses once we have exchanged contracts and set up RM re-delivery.
I heard back from the company I bought my new quilt from, they are sending a new one and told me to bin the one I have. DP suggested we stitch it up ourselves as one entire side is unstitched and keep it, and in winter we can put some popper buttons on the two of them (two summer ones) to make a winter one....will save us buying another one so I will do that. Only issue is...........I packed the needle and threads

  • Had a three hour nap 😴 feeling very rough this afternoon and need to feed kids and take them to cadets yet.
I spent an hour doing surveys as was laid on sofa. I've just done the longest one ever and only been paid £4 for it 😳 but it took me to a payout level so I have cashed it out (up to ten days to reach my bank?) £11.40 I have cashed out and I think I may close that one down (PO) as I rarely get surveys and it's taken me months to reach my first tenner 😳🤣 it's done now though.

I'm having to spend money on DD swimsuit on Amazon so it arrives in time. DP couldn't find one in the shops for her for less than £45 🤨

Right suppose I better cook something for the kids. I've had a good tidy around the house and removed all boxes and packing materials that were strewn everywhere. I couldn't see what there was to do amongst it all. I need more boxes although I hopefully have enough bubble wrap and packing paper thanks to people on FB!
