  • I hope you rest up okay, I find being 40 my energy is not what it use to be and it can take a few days to recover from exercise, but then I have a load of bulk. Well done saving on dog grooming. And good luck on prolific. Enjoy your day. 😁
Thank you  I am the same post 40... I am 45 now and determined to get a bit fitter before it gets any worse. Going into that rubbish job was probably the best thing for me to be fair as it forced me to get fitter! Nothing so far on pr0l1f1c....will keep trying!

Just catching up.   I so identified with your dopamine hit from the careless spending  -    that was why i decided to have a no spend year.   Which of course has been long since forgotten since i decided to do renovation works on the house!
Oh wow a NSYear... I think the thought of that would send me running for the shops  Renovation works have been going on here since July 2022.....and only just coming to an end, everything is so expensive to buy for doing houses up these days!

  • Morning all, well I am up, dressed, and flaked on sofa already, my legs are killing me  I am going to get trainers on and walk into town though, I need some soap and also need to pay some cash into the PO. I did the online shop and it's coming in at around £120, I'm not sure I can bring this in on £500 but I think it won't be too far over for the month.

I might pop into the estate agents whilst in town too, get an appointment booked in for a valuation so I have a date to work towards. That will push me on to finish the last couple of jobs (all door frames need sanding and painting as we changed where the door handle went so had to move the metal bits and fill the holes in....so that is 7 to do  but aside from that we have a bannister :relaxed: finally after two years of it being destroyed! and lots of other little snagging jobs signed off....I am almost of the opinion now it looks really lovely let's just stay and enjoy it  *almost*.

Suppose I better check paint tin too to see if I have enough paint to finish those jobs. Otherwise that is another expense in town.

Got lots of food in, DS has been gone since Friday so everything has lasted a bit longer than usual. He went to watch the Army Vs Navy rugby...hope he had fun. He never leaves his room so hopefully was a nice day out for him.

The lady who gave me coffee jars has messaged me again and has lots more. Very grateful so will pop into the city one day to collect them too.

DP is back at work, DD is in school (no exams today thankfully) and DS is not here...house is super quiet! I should get on and do jobs in their rooms really as it doesn't stay quiet for long when they're home! Right going to get going as it looks overcast and possible rain coming in so want to get to town and back before that happens!

As for the fitness I have ten years on you and just starting to feel shattered! I have been thinking of changing from my very physically demanding job but I know if I have to sit still in an office I will go mad and it makes my back ache😂

    Good luck with the valuations.

I am the same way...I like to moan about the physical exertions but actually I would go looney sat on my behind all day  no pleasing me :joy:

I have just laid in the bath for forty minutes my poor body is screaming 'stop', so I have. I can't help it though, I am an all or nothing type person :unamused: much to my own irritation as well as everyone around me

I have painted 10 door frames today, inside and out. Also finally painted around plug sockets, ceiling roses, light switches etc. I have to do DD window tomorrow, just a touch up she has scuffed all the frame and the sill and hers is the master bedroom so want it to look nice,  I will do tomorrow when the silicone is dry and OMG at trying to remove old silicone that alone took me two hours wth! I have hoovered everywhere and scrubbed DD & DS carpets clean -so annoyed with them both the carpets do not look good in either room and all carpets are only just a year old. I scrubbed as many marks as i could off though. I could do with a carpet cleaner.....hmm actually we did have one I might see if we still have it.  I have hoovered and mopped everywhere and just as I stopped to do dinner the washing machine flooded  I kid you not.
Thank goodness I hadn't mopped the kitchen or that might have finished me off. So DP sorted that out with tumble drier in middle of the kitchen whilst I was trying to prep dinner around him and cook  I am glad today is over with. Well jobs wise.

We have one valuation booked in for next week. Can't seem to get hold of the other two EA around here atm.

I bumped into one of my old colleagues in town and he looked very glum. He said the place wasn't the same now both us supervisors had left, and he was looking to go too. The new supervisor is not as nice. nice to get a compliment hey!

Not a NSD I bought some soap in town and also another light switch plate or whatever they are called so I could do DS' one as well as everyone elses. I need to get a tester pot of paint for his room as I touched up the pain where he had scuffed it and it dried the wrong colour  the paint had gone weird in the garage so colour was no longer the same??!

Anyway I am off need a stiff drink and some tv and my feet up

  • Morning all, I am exhausted. I have stopped.

This morning I have already cooked up the 7 bean mix in the PC, I had soaked for dinner later. Just need to cook up an onion, pepper and throw some spices in with a tin of tomatoes later to make some chilli. Might do some rice with it and have tortilla chips and salad to make. Nice quick easy dinner.

I have the laptop open with surveys open and hoping for a few to pop up whilst I watch a bit of tv (I have a decluttering show on with stacy solomon - I love her happy demeanor).

Will do the ironing later whilst also watching tv or listening to some music. I have already had three cups of tea to wake myself up

DD has gone off to school and DS still not home so I do want to run the hoover through their rooms again after having scrubbed the floor yesterday. I am not painting the window, I am going to order some different paint as the one I prefer had run out. Will try and get some vouchers from survey sites for am-az-on as that will help with budget (which is very fast becoming out of control).

Hoping for a NSD but I had to request a refund from Mr T this morning for mouldy peppers and oranges so I might need to pop out and buy them again. Refund is on it's way but takes up to 5 days.

Nothing sent to EF or MOP this week yet. No spare money, it has all gone on DIY stuff  Will be lovely when it is all done though  and we are nearly there now.........

Yep they do. Although Mr S was just as bad every week I was requesting a refund. I much prefer to pick my own food but with no nearby large SM it is much cheaper to just get a delivery. And saves me an hour round trip just travelling never mind shopping.

  • I have cashed out one £5 voucher.
No surveys on Prol1f1c. Annoyingly... as I am at £5.30 and cashout is at £6 :joy: so typical.

    All the ironing is done.

DP has left for a trade show so I will walk down to the shops in a bit to grab a few bits for dinner (peppers! can't believe they all had to be thrown).

The decluttering show is brill it has given me inspiration to empty out the cupboard of doom in my kitchen (one of those big corner ones with dark corners where you can't see what is even in the cupboard!) I am going to once again try and bring organisation to the tupperware, empty jars, baking stuff and hot water bottles :joy: I went in there this morning to get something out for DD and the whole lot came tumbling out on me *oops* the sun is out so I can save on the tumble dryer and get the washing on the line too
