Afternoon all, hope everyone is having a good bank hol weekend. We have been out for a walk today, 4 miles and left the dog at home again (why do I feel SO guilty when I do this
) it is much better exercise to leave him here, we actually get somewhere. He's been walked around the block and is passed out on the sofa snuggled up to me, so think I am forgiven
I think his bad hearing, eyesight and age are going against him lately and he doesn't get anywhere very fast any more.
We bought some treats for a nice lunch from the co-op on the way home. Out of our PM fund though so not grocery spends. DP has got started on the bannister and I am going to bath the dog in a mo....not much planned for this weekend aside from a few walks. We are purposely avoiding the antique market going on in the next town as we will spend money on things we don't needhoping for some sun so I can tidy the garden up though that would be nice....Perhaps a NSD tomorrow or Monday might happen.

Also cashed out another £5 a.m.azon voucher from survey site. These vouchers are handy for helping towards s&s items I have on the account and small purchases (like DD's new charging cables 🤦🏻♀️🤣)MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. I am exhausted. Was not a NSD again but I'm not too sad about it. We've had a lovely weekend. We've got out and about early on before weather turns and today we walked nearly five miles. Yesterday it was about four. I'm building myself up as I've noticed I'm getting unfit very quickly from not working. And also putting on weight.
So back to no snacks after a certain time in evening which should be good for food budget 🤣 as well as my waist. And lots of walking and cycling.
We have done lots of maintenance around the house and gardens today. And my step counter says nearly 8 miles and 18,000 steps ...no wonder I am aching now.
Will ring EA once everyone is back from bank hols and organise a time for a valuation. Might get a couple of them out. Also need to ring TSB see if we can port our mortgage. Depending on those two factors and their outcomes will depend on what we do next. We've seen some nice houses in better areas on RM....and would you believe we are both erring towards another renovation jobby 🙈 we don't learn. 🙈
If we don't sell we very nearly have a fully finished house which is also quite exciting 😃 and we can just enjoy that.
Haven't done any surveys in days even when I log on nothing seems to pop up anymore. Tomorrow we are going to have one final push to finish all small jobs outstanding and I will have a good tidy and clean around the house too. Perhaps I can make a NSD there ...we will see 🙈

It sounds great that you are doing so much activity I wouldn't manage half of that currently in my condition. And the pizzas from my thread that you made with naan sound delicious and home made. I had not had any surveys then along popped quite a few and now I have cashed out £20! I think they come and go, so do pop in again, maybe leave it a few days/ week? Good luck on your plans.

18000 steps is going some!
I also need to rein in the snacks! Last year I started fasting and it worked really well for me. I had tea and then no snacks and no food until lunch time the next day. I lost 1/2 stone and felt better for eating less crap. Somehow for me, being a bit of an all or nothing person it works better when I know i can't eat anything otherwise im always thinking about food or looking through drawers!
Annoyingly, ive slipped out of the habit and put the weight back on! Oops!
Will try again!

NSD 5/15 today 👏
@HotDog2020 yep I'm finding the same with surveys nothing then lots and lots all at once. I will keep trying for them. And the pizza is yummy much better than shop bought for a fraction of the price.
@~FlowerPot~ that's exactly how I lost weight last time with intermittent fasting. It's really easy to do so I need to get back on it as well. And 18k steps was too much we've been exhausted all day 🤣 (and my step counter racked up 4 miles today!)
Cashed out another £5 voucher. They are coming quickly enough but the surveys on that site are boring and tiresome and not much money for the time it takes. But nevermind it's better than nothing 😊 will try and get some pr01f1c ones tomorrow as I'm close to minimum payout on that now...
Only a few jobs to do around the house tomorrow mainly tidy up after all the DIY. Then I am going to rest my poor legs they are exhausted. We've achieved a lot this weekend and I'm really grateful to my DP for doing so much...he even cracked on today when I was flagging big time. I did spend two hours cutting the dog's hair though so money saved on grooming fees and he is ready for summer (let's hope we get one now!)MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. I hope you rest up okay, I find being 40 my energy is not what it use to be and it can take a few days to recover from exercise, but then I have a load of bulk. Well done saving on dog grooming. And good luck on prolific. Enjoy your day. 😁2

Just catching up. I so identified with your dopamine hit from the careless spending - that was why i decided to have a no spend year. Which of course has been long since forgotten since i decided to do renovation works on the house!Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!1 -
Im going to try and do some PA studies today as well, I looked last night and havent done any since 14 April. So did a 30p one! Will try boost that up a fair bit!!
