I think framing struggling with tough things in life as moaning is not actually that helpful. It suggests that we shouldn’t be struggling when it’s usually absolutely reasonable to be!I have a suggestion for a cream that might help your foot - I will PM you x

Morning all,
DP and I were exhausted once again, we're wondering what round of delightful bugs are going round now, as there were at least six people off sick yesterday in our team at work. Because I don't eat dairy I tend not to get as sick when the colds are doing their rounds as I used to...but I still get the exhaustion part. Hopefully it will pass soon. We were in bed by 9:45 🙈. I tried to meditate whilst DP passed out the second his head hit the pillow, only to be disturbed continuously by dogs yapping then a motorbike that went by very noisily which just ended the meditation there and then and made me cry. 🙂. Hmm. I'll try again today. I'm grateful for my yesterday self for trying.
Today we had a nice lie in, I'm a bit snotty this morning but it's coming out so not bunged up, that's good I guess. And definitely points towards a cold.
I made two curries yesterday to use up all the old veg, seitan and anything else lying around. There was a bit too much for one curry so I made a korma and then Bombay potatoes. Plenty left for a quick lunch today.
DP wants to start on the next two rooms and has requested I sage his office too after we decorated it. I need to see if I have any left as the lot I dried out has disappeared in the chaos of moving things around with the extension.
I've got a plan of action -
1- We will empty out all the stuff we don't want in both rooms. CS, bin, tip, don't care where I want it out the house.
2- take down old rickety cupboards that were up when we moved in, and also when the last owner had moved in. They've seen better days. And they're in both rooms.
3- measure up the 'dressing room' and see about ordering wardrobes. I've seen some open type wardrobes that have good reviews on big river site on a black Friday deal. It is a room with a purpose of dressing in so I don't mind open wardrobes in there. And they work out waaaaay cheaper than closed in ones 💸
3.5- clean both rooms thoroughly.
4- tidy up DS room. We have some paint for that room to get cracking on it over the next few weekends. And I will buy another tin for the lower part of the wall as I'm going for a bit of colour drenching and Painting the ceiling. DD wants a cinema room, and DS had requested a black room before he left 🤔 to which I said no but I think a darker than white ceiling and darker walls than neutral will be a good meeting point for him if he ever came home. And if he doesn't it fits well with a cinema space too. DD has requested beanbags for the space 😆 I take it she's not inviting two old middle aged people to watch with her that live in the house as I don't think I'd get back up from one of those lol. There's a sofa floating around waiting for the space to be finished too. And a cupboard so this won't be an expensive room to do, paint, beanbags (which I've said DD could possibly pay for then they are hers. Not sure she went for that sales pitch though).
5- paint the dressing room as it will be patchy around the cupboards that come down, something neutral and if we have anything in the garage I'll use that otherwise a cheapish paint. Most of the room will be covered in wardrobes/ clothes.
This won't be done in a weekend obviously but this is the plan for both rooms. Our room is overflowing with clothes and we don't even have very many I don't think 🤔. We just have a severe lack of wardrobe space.
I need to go shopping but DP has offered to go for me so I don't need to be on my foot. I'll do a meal plan and then shopping list.
I need to do the budget this weekend too and move my wages about. We have to take into account, a weekend away, I've two Xmas parties coming up, two friends birthdays, and I need money for Xmas presents and birthday presents budget still as that account is empty now.
I think I'll hold off on putting anything into the EF, and yearly fund so things aren't impacted too much elsewhere. We keep getting to mid month and being very cashflow poor and I don't think we spend copious amounts of money 🤔 surely we deserve the odd treat we bloody work hard for it. 🤔 Hmm..anyway..'nother cuppa, wash on, bins emptied and crack on.Emergency Fund goal - £717.77/1500

I've just used (not the actual paint, but mixed as a colour match) F&B Studio Green on one wall - it would probably look almost black if it was on all the walls and with low light. It's very similar to the colour that's often used in art galleries. I've got F&B Lichen on the woodwork and then a white ceiling (other walls are F&B Bone, which is a greenish neutral). Dulux Mallard Green is another nice dark green, and I like the look of 'Midnight Teal' too (they are both heritage colours, and the colour card comes with a useful little tool for selecting toning or coordinating colours).
I love the fact that every time I (or rather, the decorator) finishes a room it makes it transforms it from the grey, depressing place I bought. So I'm going to make an effort to day to get myself moved back into my bedroom and get the hall tidied and organised!2 -
Sounding good and seconding dd buys her beanbags then you aren't left with them when she moves out, I agree its unlikely you and dp will be unlikely to use them 😆22: 3🏅 4⭐ 23: 5🏅 6 ⭐ 24 1🏅 2⭐ 25 🏅 🥈2⭐ Never save something for a special occasion. Oh I like the sound of these colours. The room is south facing so can take a dark colour I think. It gets very hot in there mud summer so I'm going to go ahead and paint it dark. If I hate it worst comes to worst I'll just repaint lighter 😆. There was colour in this house when we bought it but it was very 80s, not really my style. So we can live with it...but after seeing our kitchen and living space transformed and DD room and the new office it does inspire us to carry on 😄.greenbee said:I've just used (not the actual paint, but mixed as a colour match) F&B Studio Green on one wall - it would probably look almost black if it was on all the walls and with low light. I totally agree with this! And she has more money in her account than I have in my EF currently so I don't see it as a great hardship (although she probably will) 😆.daisy_1571 said:Sounding good and seconding dd buys her beanbags then you aren't left with them when she moves out, I agree its unlikely you and dp will be unlikely to use them 😆Emergency Fund goal - £717.77/1500

Oh I'm so sorry. I understand this. It has happened to me before and I just felt sick about it until it was resolved. I hope you manage to have a good weekend despite it xQueen_of_the_Hive said:Morning @debtfreewannabe321, sorry to hear your having a hard time of it.
