Morning all!
Some of the pending went over to ready to payout so I have done that. Sent the £9.65 over to EF, I rounded it up to £10 for the EF though so £697.77 in there. I could have just rounded up to the £700 but this game is fun eh and keeps me spurred on to doing more surveys.
DP has an interview!!! Next Tuesday! And it's for the promotion job not his current one (he seems to think his current one is 80% going to be retained.) so we are praying that the nightmare of consultation might actually go in our favour for a promotion now rather than just retaining what he has. Fingers crossed please everyone, we need a bit of luck!
I had an epic sleep last night almost eleven hours 😱
Feeling slightly better today, basically cocodamol doesn't agree with me and it makes me very drowsy for days on end 🙈🤣.
My appointment is in a bit anyway so I best go get ready. I'll be back later if any more updates on my foot. I messaged the GP and I also intend to see if I can get some acupuncture booked in today.Emergency Fund goal - £1000/2000

Thanks @daisy_1571 🥰
I am back from my alt therapy consultation. They were very thorough and it took about an hour to do, I had three people sitting in as main therapist was a student - she was very thorough and knowledgeable though I was impressed. I even showed them my NHS app blood test results and it turns out my thyroid is not okay it is outside normal parameters (can't remember if high or low I have info overload at the mo
) and this could be the cause of many of my perceived 'meno' symptoms including weight gain that I cannot get off. My liver blood test was also not right. Oddly enough I am reading a book on how to cleanse the liver and support it because from my own research I felt this was the case. I also went on big river app to find all the supplements I take and they wrote them down too. I found it really helpful and validating, whereas I usually come out of a drs surgery feeling unheard and like I am a hypochondriac, they also made some connections I hadn't - many of my 'allergies' came on after I was very poorly with sepsis (lots of antbiotics) and also after a flu jab which seemed to overwhelm my system many years ago. I am waiting for them to call and I will make a payment for the remedies they come up with and see if I can get myself off the HRT. I should get 10% off as a staff benefit. And I will collect tomorrow if they have it ready.
I have opened up DP laptop besides mine as I keep getting screened out of the AI surveys because my laptop is too small. I just managed to do one on his and it's credited already so I can get that payment out tomorrow now as I have already applied for one today. I am super cold so I am going to have a lazy couple of hours watching some tv with a blanket and a cuppa and then I will go swimming later with DP as we have booked in for 6pm. I will pop into the sauna after too to warm myself up as I have a right chill going on. I also need to do a quick shop so will do that too in a bit.Emergency Fund goal - £1000/2000

What a fantastic appointment dfw. Mr d was diagnosed low thyroid and getting the tablets to even him out have helped him. Things you just put down to getting older.
Thats really interesting about the issues that might be linked to antibiotics. Is that because they reckon you'll have had all your gut goodies killed off? There's certainly a lot more info nowadays about building up the gut by foods, not necessarily taking those pre and probiotic drinks which in some cases do nothing. Looking forward to hearing you are generally feeling better over the next couple of months

I managed to get another AI survey so have money ready to pay out tomorrow 😀! Will hopefully hit my £700 target then.
I've uploaded my blood test results into chat pgt (I always say it wrong it reminds of pg tips 🤣🙈) after my consultation as things are feeling clearer In my brain now. I feel like I've been searching and trying detoxes, diets, supplements etc without really knowing all that is wrong with me. I asked the ai to have a look and told it what the consultant said too. So it turns out my estrogen is depleted and gone bye-byes and when that happens ..well I will copy it here in case we have any docs here that can tell me if chat AI is lying or has it wrong 🙈-
Your results show:✔ You are officially and clearly post-menopausalNot perimenopausal, not transitioning — you’re fully through it hormonally.✔ Your ovaries are no longer producing meaningful oestrogen or progesteroneThis is why FSH and LH are so high — your body is trying to “call” the ovaries back online, but they’re done.✔ Your symptoms are NOT caused by fluctuating hormones nowBecause post-menopause hormones don’t fluctuate — they’re flat and low. This means the symptoms you listed earlier
…are not from menopause itself anymore, but from what happens after menopause.
In post-menopause, the thyroid and adrenals are forced to take on a huge extra workload.Your results + symptoms strongly suggest: thyroid under function, adrenal depletion, liver is working harder than it used to.
If the liver is overwhelmed, you get:hot flushesfatiguebrain fogallergiessluggish digestion
Your hormone results confirm:🔹 You are fully post-menopausal🔹 Your symptoms cannot be explained by hormone fluctuation🔹 The root causes are likely in:thyroid conversion / low T3adrenal depletionblood sugar instabilitynervous system dysregulationliver workload
This feels like the right answer to me. I couldn't figure out why the hot flushes, brain fog all came on AFTER menopause. Just didn't make sense.
The liver being overwhelmed and all the symptoms above are my menopause symptoms (so I thought!!)
So my plans going forward are to -
1) reduce the HRT again I don't feel comfortable taking it with such a high stroke risk in my mum's side
2) take whatever supplements they recommend and dietary advice.
3) carry on with the exercise but mostly swimming because gym is causing post exercise fatigue again. As is the aqua aerobics to be honest 😭.
4) get back to meditation. My body has been in constant adrenaline dump mode over the last two years or so and I think I can help support the adrenals by meditating again and getting out of fight/ flight continually.
5) make a concerted effort to stop eating crap when I am tired (I eat so well around the binge quick fix energy foods I annoy myself when I do this).
I've also ordered some heel pads for my poorly foot and I've downloaded exercises to try every day to help my foot. I've put in two requests for them to call about the x ray now and not even heard a dicky about it ... Time for self healing again. I've given up relying on NHS.
Right I'm off to the shops in the rain. DD has finished early. We're all booked onto swimming later so I'll get shop out the way and then cook an early dinner.Emergency Fund goal - £1000/2000

If you’ve a low thyroid then you need meds (and it should help the tiredness and weight gain). My GP put me on hrt patches as there’s hardly any stroke risk vs other forms.Tbh when I go to the doctors I’ve normally worked out what’s wrong and go in and request exactly what I want and why. (Tbh my GP is really good and generally agrees with me)Sealed pot challenge 822

Back from swimming and it actually helped warm me up. I was so cold before I went 🥶.
@dawnybabes the doc refused anything for the thyroid said it wasn't low enough. So I'm going to try natural support instead. I think it's borderline and doc wasn't interested in looking at it any more. If I can I want off the HRT. I've done ten plus years without it just fine but the last couple of years have been awful. Oddly massive cross over of symptoms for liver needing some support and meno symptoms.
Didn't spend too much in Mr T but then again should a small top up shop cost me £37 for one bag 🤔. Hmm probably not.
Early night I think as I'm still really struggling with energy.Emergency Fund goal - £1000/2000
