This morning I've had my opticians appointment. As I thought I needed new glasses and he's suggested I start wearing them more ☹️ my body fails me in yet another way. I always thought getting old would happen gradually but it has literally all come in the last two years- eyesight, weight gains, grey hairs and aches and pains, wrinkles, nevermind the menopause symptoms. It's no wonder I feel like I can't catch my breath some days. 🤪

Anyway the nice lady at the opticians asked if I had a blue light card- yes I do! Great she says there is a code for a free test and 30% off glasses ☺️ couldn't get into my app, the password was wrong. Reset the password then I needed the card out my purse to get membership number and dropped entire contents of purse all over the floor 😬. Eventually we got there and £200+ bill came to £119! Was happy with the reduced price and the glasses are quite nice. Will collect in hopefully a week or so.

I need to get fit. I'm pretty sure my knee, my foot pain, my back pain is all from extra weight and also meno being a !!!!!! to my joints. I'm going to have a look for a YT video for older people who can't contort in to lotus flowers any more (all the dvds I have are extra hard yoga it seems cos once upon a time I was young and could get into those positions 🤪🤣).

DD was sick this morning I am praying I don't get it I hate throwing up. DP didn't sleep well either he was overthinking the fostering form hence why we stopped the process before. He didn't have a good marriage like I didn't and I'm sure many readers can relate to and she was a bit of a control freak (I kinda understand why she was she had loss at an early age- but it meant she controlled him and the kids on a very tight reign) and he hasn't done any healing from that. I've gently suggested he looks for some counselling sessions via the MH team at work as he doesn't want to talk to me about it.

Right this morning I've had yoghurt (vegan) with chia, flaxseed and blueberries in it and a small bowl (handful size) of nuts. I ate tonnes of veg and salad yesterday and I will try and do the same today (and forever more of course but let's try one day at a time 🤣).

Knee still irritating the hell out of me so can't go for a walk but I'm going to look for some exercises on YT in a mo. I'm in the middle of pickling some gherkins so will finish that before starting something new (otherwise I end up with ten started things and don't finish any!)

I've got three jars of pickled gherkins done 😁 I hope they don't spoil!
I have also plastered the side of the chimney breast again (just needed a touch up) and I am sat down for a bit before I go to buy some white paint....I am going to attempt to mist coat the extension. 😁 I am fed up moaning now about build works and ready to just get on with it and get it done.

Ahhh DD sick again so not got to the shops yet. Poor thing it's her first day off since last week.
It's turned really cold here and with DD sick I'm almost tempted to put the heating on low. I will hold off for a bit though..she's got a heated blanket so I've told her to put that on instead.

Seem to be stilted from Going to the shops. Builders have turned up to clear the site of all the rubbish (yay!) and blocked entire driveway 🤣

Perhaps I'm not meant to paint today 🤭

🤣 I did have to rest they took ages! However the mess has all gone- woop! No rubble bags and bits of plasterboard and concrete etc etc left everywhere. We kept the bricks though seeing as though we were invoiced for them and will use them to make a brick path through the raised beds 😁 - at some point.

I made £15 on FB sales. £1.34 on cashback and £4.50 on surveys (I finally did some). Can't get cashback yet because I need to wait until £10 and I'm at £5.50 something and same on surveys need to wait for £6 cleared.

I bought the paint! W1ckes had a good deal on 10L Dulux one for £23 I think? Got CB for that and some brushes. Got back too late though and made DD some dinner instead - plain pasta with a bit of oil and some butter beans for her. I did DP and I fried courgette and beefsteak tomato with mushrooms to go with the pasta. I'm not absolutely fed up of courgette yet ....but....I have several large ones in the fridge still and a load on the plant to be picked and eaten too 🤣.

Electrician is in tomorrow! My new range cooker will be fitted finally 😁 I can't wait.

I signed up for a CC. My credit score has gone down lots and although I'm not needing it yet I like to keep it up higher if possible as a just in case. And the note on there was...get a cc. I had several before but once paid off the cc companies themselves closed the account down (they didn't used to do this and I was saving them as an emergency) the only one that didn't was capital one but I can't find the card anywhere. Anyway I was on a.mazon and they had an offer for Barclaycard - £20 a.mazon voucher if you sign up..so I did.
I have the £20 voucher already 😁👍🏻 and the card is on its way. I should use it for something during the month and then pay it off at the end..maybe food? Not sure but will think what to use it with so I'm 'utilising credit card' 🙄.

I've left the £20 on my account and will use it for whatever spends come up next.
Hopefully I've sold another item on FB a lady is coming to look tomorrow. That will be £40 if she takes it and a little bit of floor space back too!

My friend is coming today so I best get up and get on. The electrician is already here shaking the house as he drills. DP got up at 6am and mist coated the extension BEFORE the lights and switch plates are put on 😁👏🏻. I was fast asleep but I'm very grateful he did that as the mist coat is always the messy one.

Yikes popped to the shop for bread and oat milk. £41 later 😖 oops. Hopefully at least three dinners in that though too 🫣.

On a side note we have veg boxes £1.50 out a lot in Mr L BUT they seem to group together stuff rather than split it so for example they could have had five boxes with potatoes, tomato, lettuce, apples and pepper this morning but instead they had five boxes one filled with each fruit/ veg 🤔 is it just our one that does this or is this nationwide. It seems really silly to me. No one needs 40 potatoes. 🤔

MY local lidl does the boxes but they are mixed items, I got one this morning that contained, celery, swede, cabbage, new potatoes, coriander, onions, pink lady apples, strawberries, plums and bananas.

This is how it should be, surely? I asked the lady on the till why they never mixed them and she just replied with a shrug of the shoulder and a 'i dunno' I might move some bits about next time and make my own!
