Today's shop came to £85.66. Looking at my Mr Lid app it is telling me the last time we shopped (we have done a small shop elsewhere for a few bits though prob £20 in all) was the 1st of June and only for £83 then. We also did a Mr T shop at the same time for around £25. But we're doing alright on the food budget for once this month. We have £579 left for 3 weeks. But dividing that up into weeks we have around £183 left per week and that is if I keep back £30 for a top up shop this week. Hopefully plenty, but in that budget we also need to account for anything we buy at the concerts we are going to.

@KajiKita I have also had that very same life lesson just lately. I also need to remind myself every day I am not 25 any more, I keep trying to keep up with the flighty 25 year old me (and I only had one child then and way more energy). On the manifestations, I have learned this the hard way, others may do it differently, but I have learned if I am wishy washy with what I want then I will usually be given something, but it usually turns out to be nothing like what I wanted and sometimes has led me down the wrong path entirely and even further away from what I actually wanted. So I sometimes sit with an idea and let it grow until I am sure of the direction I want to take with it and then manifest. The walk was great, it was so early still, so no traffic, no people, nice and quiet, just how we like it  we sat and had tea and coffee looking over the castle and were the only ones there at 9am :joy: that is a rarity for us!
I have hurt my back though, not sure how, so need to rest it for a few hours!

Morning all, I've woken up with very sore stiff back. I've stretched it as much as I could but the pain is radiating down towards my knee now.. sciatica. Need to not twist oddly today and sit straight and keep moving throughout the day so it doesn't seize. And maybe some painkillers 😖 --- otherwise that's my face for the day 🙈.

Meditated already this morning. Always feel better for it. Stopping negative thoughts in their tracks and sending them off.

Monday is my favourite day and most exams are over with now so just some maths GCSE revision today. I've made lunch from leftovers. Yesterday was the first dinner I managed to eat all of (nice fresh healthy Buddha bowl) and yet my tummy was in knots afterwards. So just going to eat small and often today see how I get on. The dinner last night was a small portion too but I think too much ☹️ gahh I hate not being able to eat: I love food. 🤣. Right late start today but I'm walking in see if I can ease this back off a bit more before sitting for hours. Hope everyone has a lovely day.

Hope it improves over the day. Sending love
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

Thanks Watty, some painkillers and sitting on a firm chair has helped a bit 😁. I'm currently having a two hour lunch break. Won't complain 🤫 otherwise if I do go ask if there is anything I can do I'm sure they'll find me something to do.

DP has had a builder out this morning for a quote on some work that needs doing. The mortgage appointment is on Wednesday. And we are having builders round to start works on new extension as soon as next week apparently! So we have a lot of furniture to shift around before then. might need to drag DS from his room to help as my back isn't up to much.

I've just submitted the gas and electricity meter readings. Smart readers aren't very smart are they 🙃 ours never works and I'm continually being asked to send a reading in. Anyway if their estimate is not too far off what reality is then I'm only £389 in debt with them now. As opposed to a couple of hundred more a few months ago. But I won't hold my breath till they calculate from my readings.

JP for dinner. Nice and safe ..my tum still very sensitive. It's also raining again. And I've found ANOTHER ant farm on the red currant bush this time 🤦🏼‍♀️ I don't actually know how organic farmers do their job because I would fail (am failing cos I don't like to use chemicals).

NSD today 🙏🏼 nearly gave in on my two hours lunch break but I just refilled my water instead of buying caffeine. Better for me and my purse lol.

Well the gas and electric has updated on the app, it's added an extra hundred quid to the bill. Whatever. I'm going to continue to pay it at the rate I am and it will go down eventually. 🙄

Today was good at work. I ended up being in a practical session which was far more fun than GCSEs all day 😁. And I believe I've done my last GCSE classes for the year now. If I have to see one more trig question I will actually cry. (And I am sorry but I've not used it once since leaving school three decades ago I used chat gpt to explain it to me every time. I'm math blind. )And this afternoon I ended up with my Thursday group as they caught me at lunch and begged me to go into their class 😁 so I spent an hour or so cutting out things for next year's display.

I've come home, soaked some rice for dinner and tidied a bit. I've meditated- and I've done this every day now for a few days 🙏🏼🙌🏻. I'm feeling better for it too.
I will go do a little bit of gardening but I am feeling a tad disheartened out there. Nothing is growing in the compost I bought, it's utterly rubbish. And it's not very warm either ....still the pergola looks nice and I've just planted a grape vine up each side. It will look lovely when I've got two up 😁.

The concerts I'm going at the weekend do not allow chairs to be brought in (I was going to bring a camping chair) and I'm not sure I'll be able to stand for two evenings on the trot...don't really know what to do about this. Obviously I'll go but my back will be in pieces come Monday if I have to stand for hours. We went to a concert at the same place before and were allowed them so ever since finding out we can't have them this time I've been wondering what the heck to do 🤔. Perhaps waterproof trousers and just sit on the grass 🤔 😅😅

Anyway...off to do some gardening before it gets too late and everyone wants feeding.

Glad you feeling better and yeah to the aubergine! The birds and your garden are lovely

I have finally learnt to (after years of chanting) to not fall into worry head. I now realise as long as I set the right intention, get detailed into what needs to be done, make a clear trackable plan and then chant to create value and then take action - all the unnecessary  nebulous worry dissipates. I am also choosing to enjoy each day as it comes and clearly acknowledge to myself that I have chosen the various projects/work that  can sometimes risk stressing me out, and recognise  they should be a joy not just a  stress cos there is so much to do/figure out.
    DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff.    Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

We have a DiP for the extra borrowing for a two year fixed at 4.39%! The whole mortgage all in will be less than £1000 per month. They've said it can be with us in less than two weeks so that's a relief. The credit checks will be happening very soon and once done we will get the mortgage offer and then can get money.
