Yeah to changing to your nice group and Happy birthday!
    DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff.    Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

  • Ah thank you all!

Well I'm half way through my new Friday.
I swapped with someone and they didn't know 🤦🏻‍♀️ office having not told them...so I had to break it to her and she wasn't too pleased 😬 I can't say I blame her as I've obviously been there since Nov and understand the issues. Anyway I found where I was supposed to be. I've basically got the other half of the group I'm usually with. It was such a big intake they have group 1&2. So when I found this out I was a little bit suspicious that I was perhaps jumping from the pan into the fire 😬 but so far so good. We have one who's super smiley and another who wants all my attention and yet another who doesn't ever look up from his phone and I've already given up asking him, and then several more that kind of get on with things including one who's deaf so I need to make sure he's looking at me when I speak to him. Fingers crossed the rest of the day goes as smoothly as the morning has. It's been a walk in the park compared to my usual Friday.

Last night the theatre was fab! My kids (and my friends) were possibly the youngest in there by quite a bit but they loved it. The seats however were horribly uncomfortable. I had one 6ft man next to me (DP) and one nearly 6ft the other side of me (DS) and me squashed in the middle not able to move because their legs were so long. Not good we were all clock watching half way through. And at the intermission two next to DD asked to be moved. They were also 6ft and said we'd rather stand than sit in those seats so they got moved and we could stretch out a little better for the second half. Someone in the loo queue gave me and my friend some good tips on where the best leg room was for future bookings (and probably twice the price!) good evening though and we had a nice time in the pub before that. DD got some macaroni cheese as DP felt sorry for her since her teeth had come out and she's been unable to eat much.
My friend at work has had her orthodontist appointments all cancelled, and her DD is booked at the same place as my DD!!! I have scoured my emails and cannot find a cancellation thank goodness for DD so I'm going to assume hers is going ahead! ???? I almost daren't ring in case they try to cancel 🙈

It makes me think we've made the right decision to just go ahead and pay for DS privately and use work dental benefits. As the lot that are being cancelled now are being pushed back to September and this means an extra wait for those waiting to be seen. My friends DD is distraught as she's waited years for this same as my DD.

Nsd today. And we've barely any food in. We ALL had peanut butter and banana sandwiches for lunch with crisps and whatever other snacks could be found 🤣.
Shopping day tomorrow. And take away day too 😁👏🏻. We have half a birthday cake left too for pudding this evening so looking forward to that later on!

Right back to work, lunch is nearly over...

Happy belated birthday and hope it was a good Friday!
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!
