Ah thank you @~FlowerPot~ @CrazyBee787 @redofromstart she even loved the pink! And I've not seen her smiling quite so much in a long time. She's not yet asked where her shrine has gone....she had pieces of FLDs belongings and ex step mum in a corner. I've boxed them under the bed and hope they stay there. She's been in her wardrobe since she came back making it pretty 🤣😍🙏🏻MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. January 1st £118,267.06. Your wallpapering the ceiling sounds like Michaelangelo painting the Sistine Chapel - he was upside down for years and only did it as a discipline imposed on him by Pope Julius for his disobedience...
Note to self in new flat - dont try wallpapering ceilings. Especially with people you like(they look good though!)
LOVING the walkin wardrobe - its inspired and you both done a great job in reno.
On the family /friends. I do think people can change if they have done the work on themselves. However that does not mean you have to take them back. If you feel you would meet or talk to them once and it has value then great , if you feel it would still be damaging to you then dont.
On your vision boards - I am doing my 2025 ones this weekend - as you my VB guru what are the top tips?
Did you add photos, pics, words on yours? I know you then looked at it daily, I - I am just wondering what your vb comrised of.
I have some white boards ready to go
I am doing a new home one (for my flat buying) and a life one (relationships/money/health/happiness/side hustle success)
DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Fantastic work 👏❤️ You should be really proud of yourselves 😊🤩
Re the people resurfacing …. I have that happen to me too. There’s often a lesson in it somewhere, often obliquely; someone else in my life who has similar behaviours but I haven’t spotted it yet for example. I will just say these things:
- you have a right to have boundaries
- these people ended up behind new boundaries for a reason
- unless that reason has changed, they should stay behind those boundaries
- I have developed a rule over the years that I don’t accept apologies unless the person apologising can explain how it will be different in future (it’s very powerful when you tell people this - the first time I did it to a chauvinistic bloke from Brazil at work after he had tried dominating / bullying me at the end of a very bad day, he was shaking with emotion. I let him off the hook and told him I was accepting his apology about six weeks later. He was one of the ones who was really sad me to see me leave my last job - rather to my surprise.). I hold them to this different behaviour, that they have decided for themselves, and at the first sign of flippancy or carelessness in relation to these new behaviours, without good reason, the shutters DROP and I walk with no come back! I know this sounds brutal, but it’s very rare and fairly significant if I do actually get to the point of pushing people out of my life …. I’m generally pretty patient and tolerant 😉
Now then, this weekend, please can I prescribe soul restoration for you?✨❤️✨
Music, light food, laughter, shared downtime with DP, plenty of sleep.

VB- so eg. The last one. I wanted to sell the house. Not be massively out of pocket and buy somewhere we liked in a good area. So DP first did a drive by of all areas. Crossed a few off and added a few more. We had in our minds where we both agreed on. Then added to the VB - new home in area we love with those specific areas in mind as we meditated on it. We also just used sticky post it notes for most of this. I wrote down -whole process of buying is so easy and quick. The money we need for all expenses flows to us.
We printed a pic of our old house and put It in the middle. Big red pen- SOLD across it and the price I wanted. Then when we found the house we wanted I printed that off. We hadn't had our offer accepted but I wrote on it -our new home we will be in by September 24. I wrote everything as if It was already happening or was mine already. Intention and correct wording is the key. Don't write what you don't want - i.e I don't want to eat unhealthy food anymore. I'd write I choose the healthy option every time and it makes me feel wonderful and healthy and full of life. We achieved everything on that VB. And the one before that too we also achieved it all. I intend on doing a new one very soon too and it will be full of what I want to achieve in new house so I will probably get some inspo pics from Pinterest and print and use wording on post it's like my new dining room comes together like this and is exactly how I imagined it. When you chant or meditate on it the trick is to feel what you are achieving. How excited would you be to have found the perfect house. The perfect car. The perfect job.... whatever you're manifesting....feel that emotion and let it run through your body. Hold it in your body and let it flow through you filling your aura with that beautiful feeling and then let it go with the Intentions and gratitude of it's mine- thank you!!!MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. Right, we're up after a very big lie in for us.
Shopping list collated, meal plan done, beds stripped ready for washing and all towels. We've tidied around and will stick a wash on before going out to shop. I have my new book to read that arrived this morning 😁 so will start bulk cooking later on whilst reading I think.
I've also ordered some inserts for my eye mask- cooling, heated and lavender ones ...I had 50% off so spent £24 inc. delivery charge on lots of bits. Out of my pocket money spends. I love having a guilt free splash out. I was going to do a no spend Jan but you know what life is awful enough when it's cold and dark. I couldn't do without a boost every now and then on a G&T or a new book etc ... maybe I will do a nsd month when the weather warms up 🤣😁
Okay off to the shops. Mr L for the bulk of the shop then Mr T for the rest. I've been naughty with the GF stuff last week and as we ran the food down I was eating whatever we had In. I've been bloated and a bit tired but nothing too bad. I definitely have an intolerance rather than allergy. I accidentally ate something with sulphites in on our mini break (thankfully on the way home) and I felt sick for hours afterwards to the point I thought I was going to pass out from dizziness and had horrendous cramps. That's an allergy....the Gluten is nowhere near as bad as that. So I've decided that I will do GF as and when possible but I refuse to make my life more complicated than it needs to be. When out with friends or family I will eat gluten if no gf and vegan together is available (taking into consideration I have to look for sulphites as well 🤦🏻♀️🤣).
Shopping budget is reset 🙏🏻👏🏻 and we have £600 to last until 1st Feb. Cupboards, fridge and freezer are bare though so this may be an expensive shop....MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. January 1st £118,267.06.
