I think I was brainwashed into using it since college as I did a hair and beauty course then went to work for some big skincare /makeup brands after 🤣 I've probably spent a small fortune over the years. Not sure I needed it back then. However I do have generally good skin but all it's done lately is break out ugh. I feel like I'm 15 again with it. I think hormone changes are to blame!

Any particular one @beanielou ? I actually had a nice 1'0real one a while back way cheaper than my n3als yard one. So might have a look at that one again.

First day done and dusted. We actually got out around 3:30 as students were done and not paying attention and tutor gave up. Yay. I was done too if I'm honest. I'd heard enough about teenage drama love triangles for one day 🤣.

I'm back home and in PJ's. 😁 No time wasted there.

Twas a NSD I wonder if I can keep count of them I'm usually rubbish at keeping a running tally. Be nice to get 15 in though. So 1/15 ... (Actually I will check my bank and diary am sure I've had one or two already).

Dinner I think will be stir fried veg with tofu and rice. Nice and easy and I'm feeling knackered after getting up so early. Early night for me for sure. I'm enjoying my new book though so I will go read that in bed later.

DD told me about her NY resolutions. I didn't want to put her off and say that they very rarely get to Feb. I will see how she goes and perhaps have to learn the hard way like me 🤣 however they all sounded good - more reading, less screen time, more walks in nature and she wants to learn how to bake 👏🏻 I can teach her that. I will show her some veggie and vegan recipes I've perfected and let her have a play around once she's mastered the basics.

I can hear DS home so that's all of us in now so I will do an early-ish dinner...I can barely keep my eyes open 🤣. Not much else to report. I would like to try and make up £40 somehow - either budget savings or surveys or whatever to boost the OPs to £100 for the month. Will update sig now with new OP from earlier.

With hormonal changes I have found that I don’t just need moisturiser (Tr0pic Skin Dre3am is good) but also a vegan omega 3 supplement. When I stopped the latter for a while, because it was expensive, my forehead started flaking! 😳 I get one from h3althspan.

Well done on the OP and the extra hour at work 😊 Will you ask about back pay for the extra hours you’ve worked up to now that haven’t been paid?

I think DD’s NYRs are quite likely to succeed as they are all positives - things to do, rather than stop doing and at least one she has looped you into help! 😉😊

    As at 15.08.25:
    - When bought house £315,995 mortgage debt and end date at start = October 2039 - now £232,244
    - OPs to mortgage = £12,048  Interest saved £5,675 to date
Fixed rate 3.85% ends October 2030

    Read 42 books of target 52 in 2025, as @ 9th August

Thank you KK, I will look for one. My pains and aches are coming back and I think it's because I've neglected to take my MSM powder for over a month. So the last few days I've made sure to add it to my water bottle for work. I've also started on the biotin again and a couple of multivitamins I found cheap online. I don't think I have any omega 3 left. As you say they are quite expensive and the last one I bought DD and DS took them all before I even remembered about them 🤣. Will add more to my basket.

I was in bed asleep by 10 last night. Early for me. Read my book for over an hour before and I slept much better not having the TV on at all yesterday. The fact DD took out TV to borrow has helped as usually I'd go up to bed with good intentions but put the TV on up there and neglect the reading. Her TV was wall mounted and I don't want it back up it's too small for where it needs to go (about 14ft from her bed) so I need to buy a bigger one and a different bracket. So she's got ours for now although she's not very happy with it....it's about 13 years old 🤣 not smart and only plays dvds because it's got no aerial haha. Still she's working her way through our dvds. I have about a 1000 so she shouldn't get bored any time soon 🤣

Work today and I've had an email about a training thing I need to do. I can't do it on the teams meeting as I am busy on all the dates available. So she's said it's fine Many are just watching it on a video themselves as they're in the same position...then a test after. So I'll do that Wednesday to get It out the way. It needs to be done before end of Jan and I am busy the Wednesdays after this one.

Would've been a NSD but I ordered my favourite face cream. I can't be doing with this teenage acne all over my chin any more. I've quite literally spent all my pocket money on supplements and toiletries and books already this month 🤣🤦🏻‍♀️.

Right work... hopefully an easy one as I'm still in sleep deficit.

Love your DDs bedroom, you’ve done an amazing job, well done!
I used fancy skincare for years; Elemis, Estée Lauder amongst others… and now I don’t! I swear by Aldi for day/night moisturisers and use The Ordinary for serums, oils etc…. No idea how I used to afford the fancy stuff, I wouldn’t consider it now.. my skin is fantastic and my skincare doesn’t send us bankrupt.

Omg yes I get the part about sending you bankrupt 🤣 I feel that way when I have to renew stuff. Although I've swapped to simple which is a couple of quid for cleanser and toner so save a fortune on those. Haven't managed to quite give up the moisturiser but but have swapped from a £60+ to £23 one so i think it's okay.
