He is on more money with less outgoings than DP & my wages combined....I mutter a lot about this too 😂🙈 I am not surprised though. Nothing changes.Does he qualify for the official title, PPH (Pooh-Pooh-head as per Watty’s thread)? 😉

Afternoon all, NSD today. These are pretty easy to achieve during the week but I need to start reigning it in heading towards xmas on the weekends. Can't believe how much I spent looking at my ynab. However I did technically finish my christmas shopping (I say technically because no doubt I forgot someone.)
Hopefully we will be on the wind down to xmas hols pretty soon at work, as a lot of tests happened last week and students are bored, tired and not interested. Not sure what I am doing tomorrow still as my days have been different every Tuesday so far. I as always have my fingers crossed for an easy group
Got out one of the bowls of pre-prepped dinner for later. It is so much easier to grab and have it all pre-chopped. But I am wondering if I want to spend every Sunday morning prepping a whole week's dinners going forward. But we'll see. it is helpful as everyone is getting grumpy because of the need of a holiday and dark days so I will carry on for the week ahead at least. I am also making lunches in the evening (mine always leftover if there is any otherwise it is rolls) as that helps DP who is usually up before me and prepping them all. Means I can leave the house clean and tidy aside from breakfast washing up too.
I have an empty glass bottle sterilising in the oven and I am going to make my own mouthwash with it. I will report back on how effective it is/ how nice it tastesMORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. January 1st £118,267.06. Some good news after my moaning post the other day, I've lost three lbs. 👏🏼 (Going GF I'm assuming?)
And my new hair style feels so much lighter ...I also spent money on new makeup at the weekend when out with DD and that cheered me up too 🙏🏻😁
Not having any luck with surveys this evening keep getting screened out. I caught up with paperwork from work though so that was good. So signing off now for a hot shower to warm me up and a movie before bed!MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. January 1st £118,267.06. The prep Sun prep Wed sounds a great ideaDON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

The mouthwash worked well!
One sterilised bottle, a tsp of baking soda, 300ml or thereabouts of filtered, boiled then cooled water and 8 drops of peppermint oil and 2 of clove oil. Tastes good and leaves mouth fresh and minty and didn't cost anything. The last fluoride free mouthwash I bought cost me nearly a tenner (the one I liked) so glad I made some sort of savings this week as I feel like money leaks out of my bank this time of year 😂🙈MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. KKMade it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!2
