I am SO glad I got out yesterday to do the gardening as it has been pouring with rain all afternoon today.
I am aching all over and have bruises everywhere from work and gardening. Not a great look

  • I went into work and got my hours for next week. Regular shifts which I liked. I had to have an extra one put in though as I should have had Weds/Thurs off but because I didn't turn up for work today I have to go in on Thursday. I wasn't even bothered when they told me I should have been in. I said, well I left a note, you should have called me. I am not a mind reader. I shan't think I will last very long there. One manager was rude and stroppy with me, the store manager just seemed like Eeyore (sad) and when I had finished shopping (did well got a lot of stocking fillers for around £100 for 4 people) I spoke to a friend on the till and she had had a run in with the same manager and said so had someone else. Seems the manager is having an off day huh. Very unprofessional though, not a good example of what management looks like, getting stroppy and rude with people. So anyway mostly 10:30-2:30 shifts which will be fine for me and 8-2 on Thursday so I can apparently get trained in another store. We'll see how that one goes down. I missed an early today which I was secretly really pleased about. It would have meant I had to get up at around 6am on a Sunday!

Happy with my purchases too. 10% off. I also got some YS crumpets, as well as some car  wash stuff for DP to use on new car, he wasn't happy tree sap had gotten all over the nice clean shiny car so we've got some bits to clean it with. Also a few other cleaning/ toiletries etc for the house. £112 spent altogether but around 90-100 on presents.

I have a horrible sore throat and not feeling very well at all, so early night for me.

What a mean manager..poke him in the eye!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Only kidding I hope you feel better soon, I am glad you have good shifts.
  • yes I should have done. Might have woken them up a bit.

Today's shift was shorter than I thought, I wasn't down for the shift I had only been given yesterday afternoon 🤨I didn't question it and just signed off at the time the rota on the shop floor told me too (half hour early). Got screamed at by one customer today, quite surprised she didn't grass me up to management actually, because after listening to her shouting for over 10 minutes for a lift not working and me not letting her use the service one I told her the only way to get upstairs was the same way as everyone else had been going. One foot in front of the other up the stairs. I then called senior management to deal with it and turned my back on her. I very nearly walked off and quit. There is being moaned at (for things that are neither your fault personally nor in your remit to fix them) and then there is being bombarded with banshee screaming and condescending rudeness like I am a full on idiot for a full 10 minutes and I just couldn't take any more. So it was at that point, an hour into my shift that I decided, yes I am goin half hour early.

I'm home, had some crumpets with jam (comfort food) and have a cup of tea to drink. It is peaceful and quiet and much needed. I am still not feeling one hundred percent. Have a sore head, tummy and just feel generally under the weather. I slept until 8.30 this morning which isn't like me!

Not a NSD here. I really should keep count. Perhaps I will try next month to do this. Today I bought a cup of tea, a slice of cake and an hour's peace and quiet in a bookshop cafe on my own. It was lovely. Had my book with me, read silently and that was my favourite hour so far today.

Company car goes back tomorrow. So we will be using our new car more then. We haven't really used it much yet as the company car is cheaper to run (cost price fuel card and we are adding to their miles on the clock rather than ours!)

I need to walk the dog yet. I also need to find dinner. I made bulk 'mince' mix yesterday, green/red lentils, HM sauce, onions, diced mushrooms and garlic with sliced peppers. We had spag bol with yesterday's portion. I have two more ready to use- one for cottage pie and one for chilli I think. Might do the cottage pie today, it is cold and wet and I am sure the kids would like some comfort food.

I saw my sister today she popped into the shop, her little pup is having an op on his eye so hopefully that went well. I did offer for her to use my staff discount but she couldn't hang around until I was finished.

DP gets paid in 2 days. This has turned into 'one of those months' where we have had money pouring away like water. On insurances, car deposits, bits for the home, and I think it is a case of drawing a line in the sand now and not worrying about it and writing it off as costs associated with a house move. Money will start to come back in over the next couple of days so we can get the budget straight again. I chased up the CT refund and it should be in my bank in the next few days apparently. I will hold it back now and try to use that to replenish my gift fund as that is where I have been 'borrowing' from all month. It is pretty much empty now. So the refund could top that up nicely and mean next month's wages don't have to cover what was taken in one hit. I have still got to buy birthday presents for my eldest (cash I think as he wants a tattoo so I will give something towards it), DP is in November as is DP mum. Then christmas. And all I have is some stocking fillers so far and a pretty empty account where there should be hundreds in there.

Okay think that is all for now .... will leave it at that or I will just go on and on about nothing and everything

  • That foul customer, how dare they do that, they were obviously having an off day, people like that need locking up. You are very resiliant to keep going, personally I think you have some stones to carry on, no one could blame you for leaving 30 mins early, I do wonder if you are leaving for good though too, has anything come of any of the other jobs yet? If I was religious I would pray for you, that everything works out for the best. Fingers crossed something better crops up and soon.
  • No word from other jobs yet sadly.
I am really really seriously going to look into doing something for myself. I need to meditate on this more and perhaps rope in a friend who can do some hypnosis on me. Because I just have fear (which has no basis really) about doing anything like working for myself. Need some brain rewiring that I am good enough, I am capable, I can do it.

I was up most of the night. My legs were in agony. Which is weird as I had all weekend off and they were fine. I didn't walk into work or home from work yesterday. I have been under the weather so perhaps something to do with that too. DP thinks it's just all catching up. I had been averaging 15k steps a day this last week by the time I was dropping into bed. It's too much for me with my bad hip.

I don't want to go into work today. I will though. I just seem to attract bad work environments. I really need to sit and think why this is happening. And put together the vision board. We manifested the house. We manifested the extra income this year. And DP manifested a brand new job that wasn't even a job - they literally made the JD from his vision board and then encouraged him to apply. I need to do the same. I don't know why I feel like I must punish myself in bad workplaces with no ethics or care for their workers. Silly...

Anyway won't be a NSD DS has woken up with a cold too. I will grab some pocket tissues and sore throat sweets for me from work when I finish. Should be a LSD though.

    My goals for today:-
    *Finish my book
    *Avoid drama at work.
    *Rest my legs
*Find another dinner from freezer (the cottage pie went down a treat yesterday)

Tomorrow I have off so my plans are to start that vision board, lay down some plans for an online course, meditate, and follow up on some jobs I've seen online. But currently I think I'm in the wrong mindset and I will just continue to attract the wrong thing. So I am willing to wait and stay where I am until I've changed this mindset and worked on the vision board and been doing my gratitude a while.

Ps it's 8:24 and it's still quite dark here 🤨 that's not helping anyone stay fit and healthy with no sun, and doesn't help one's mood either. Come out sunshine 🙏❤️

I've been using my desk sunlight for a few days now which I think has been helping. It is dark here too.
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

  • The CT refund is in! 💮
It arrived yesterday but into the bills account! I was watching the wrong account all along. Nevermind it's there and I will just leave it in there as I think we've enough food for a few days, and DP gets paid tomorrow too.
