Agree with everyone on the quitting. i know you put it on a recent job application but we can help you explain away the quitting in a positive way.

Quit, take it off your CV, your mental health and recovery is worth so much more than a badly run store.
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!
  • Jobs for today:
    1. Write resignation letter
    2. Print resignation letter
    3. Wash work shirt & dry
    4. Deliver resignation letter to store manager
    5. Look for RM email- I only know his first name and am so far coming up with a blank on searches, I will keep looking, I want to email him.
Thank you all. I agree with all of you. I won't be returning there. I will be back later with bigger update but just trying to sort this printer out atm.

  • Good for you, you did what you needed to do. It is a shame there are people like that out there that think they are a cut above everyone else, when clearly they are not. You deserve so much better. It even sounds like you have some good ideas flowing about how to graft some more cash, way to go you. Are there any M&S's foodhalls near you, as they are usually filled with friendly people, you wouldn't get treated as badly one would hope, just an idea. (and you would get a discount). Perhaps dedicate your time to the project that is the house, do you have some things you want to do...or do you just need hard cash in order to do them? May you walk into your dreams. HotdogX
  • Sounds as though you have made the right choice and you already sound a million times more positive. Nothing worse than being in a job that makes you feel stressed and totally carp about yourself.

    Take care xx
  • fabulous post, so pleased you quit the terrible job. Love the to do list and ideas and love the gratitude.
You now have some time to reflect and consider what you want to do job wise (whilst cuddling the dog and meditating!!)
Im sure it wont be long untill that vision boards working its magic!

    ⭐My rambling savings Diary ~⭐
  • Thanks all, I've had a good day today so far. Still need to walk FLD, every hour or so he comes to remind me silently staring until he realises I am busy and wanders off again for another hour
I have cleared the mess from the kids rooms (dirty washing, cups, rubbish etc) and hung all DD clothes up. Rooms look semi tidy now, I have hoovered everywhere and also done two washes. I found homes for bits that weren't quite in the right place yet. I have made a batch of scones, found dinner for tomorrow and have it defrosting, I also found dinner for tonight. I have re-read my letter three times - twice after the store manager rang me (I had phone downstairs so missed the calls) and then a third time when I sat down just now with my scone. It was a little scathing, but honestly I said nothing that wasn't true nor warranted - he needed to hear it all.
Ha ha as predicted FLD has just wandered back in...this time I am free to walk him so will do so.
