I take this to be both OP's and the other party's phones:
I contacted a specialist and he said he'll charge me $100 to purchase software called LOG'S and software send him both numbers and he'll delete it, anyone know about this?

Thats a monster assumption given that message doesn't make sense , it's from a scammer and that's the first time the op has mentioned two numbers (well actually he hasn't the scammer has)

We need the op to clarify however he has hardly been upfront with his reasons why he's desperate to delete a message that is now weeks old, so I fear we will never know

Well, you made the assumption the OP is having an affair !  But the reason for deletion isn't really relevant. There should be no problem with OP deleting a message from own phone, regardless of how old the message is.  Being unable to delete a message more than 2 days old only applies to 'Delete for everyone' which suggests the OP's concern is with deleting a message from the other person's phone.

I recommend actually taking the time to read the ops original post, it says he GOT a message from five weeks ago I.e. received a message that he wants deleting not sent one that he wants deleting

It's pretty obvious to most he's having an affair if he wasn't he wouldn't be so desperate to delete a message that somebody else might read if they checked his phone

I'm not sure the OP means 'got' in the sense of having received a message, there's a lot of ambiguity there. Rather, given what he says elsewhere in the thread and the mention of this 'specialist', that he has 'got' a message that he wants to delete from the phone of the person to whom he sent it  - @dc_scotland's scenario is the only one that makes plausible sense to me.

He can very straightforwardly delete a message he sent from his own phone, but it's not possible to delete a message from the phone of someone who sent a message to him.

But agreed, without the OP clarifying things we'll never know for sure!

yes deleting a message from your own phone is trivial deleting it from someone else's phone after 2 days is not.

Given the ops history I'm not convinced he even knows himself what he wants help with

Of course, I want to delete the message from the other phone
