VNM is indeed an absolute star. His willingness to take my exhausted or broken machinery and see if he can fix it is really above and beyond anything he needs to do. The sprayer should work but needs one more "connector thingy" which he is not sure he can find or make but he has moved on to the Quad which also needs to run if the sprayer is to be moved around.
@KajiKita is right - I checked January spend on self and it was under £60. This evidences what I frequently tell the VNM - I am very frugal - it is just the rest of the household 😀 Still I would not have it any other way.
As far as self goes, I'm spending a bit on counselling for me and supplements and so on. I'm blessed that I can afford that as the NHS wait list on counselling is at least six months in this area.
After the financial review I thought about the month ahead and asked myself what I want to focus on this month and the answer came back: health.
Health main focus of the month ahead but even if I add that to what I spend on myself it is still less than the animals 😀😂♥️

Pre op assessment done today and I have now had a call to say biopsy is to be done on Saturday. I'm pleased with that as it is just a few days away. Only slight issue is they said on the phone it will be at one hospital and the letter says another so I will call tomorrow to check that.
I've also booked to start the dental work this month too. Both dental issues and the hospital have been worrying me so I'm pleased to have it all in the diary now and I will know more as both progress.
This is a new dentist close to where I live to overcome the travel issues that were making me anxious. My plan is to put the dental work on the credit card and then see where we are at the end of the month. I had been ignoring dental work because getting to anywhere seemed so hard but my own dentist approved this place (20 mins away) and I admitted to myself the dental work is really bothering me, so, I called up this morning and got the appointment for an initial consult this afternoon. In terms of my struggles to get places this all worked really well. I can take the money to pay for dental work out of one of the savings pots marked for "other" things when the card bill arrives.
And the sun has shone. Everything seems better when the sun shines and the quad bike battery has just been delivered too.

@Watty1 Not sure what you are having done but sometimes they ask for dental work to be done prior to ops, so may be worth checking that too - it is mainly for infection control.

Thank you for that @MayDogsandCoffee. Will check that when I call tomorrow.

You've achieved a laudable amount there. Good idea to avoid unnecessary stress by reducing the travel, and I'm glad the appointments won't be hanging over you too long.

I think you may find that like around here all letters for one type of appt come from one hospital even if the appt is at another. Mine certainly did. I sometimes think these things are designed to confuse.

Charming Cob has a six monthly injection for his joints but I messed up the date, the very last day it can be given is today - but - the medication has not arrived and the vet felt as I was so close to the deadline I should start again. I would have chanced it were it a normal vaccination style but this is a little bit different and vet was of the opinion i should do the four week course again.
£18 prescription fee then ordered meds from online pharmacy as so much cheaper than the vet - this was the vets idea. Still need to go and collect the needles and syringes from the vet (they are given free) so hopefully can get that sorted today.
March focus health so all I have to do today is ring hospital and check where the surgery is to take place. Just off now for my few mins quiet in the sun before starting work. OK, no sun, very misty here but as part of the health focus I'm trying to get outside to just breathe for a few mins when I feel too full on to meditate.
Course today, all prepped and ready to start, lunch is left overs and dinner a quick pasta and butterbean dish as VNM out this evening.

Good that CC gets to continue the treatment: you and he seem happy with the results.
I keep meaning to go outside in the mornings and I'm really not good at it, but it does help.
I hope your course goes well today.

Morning @Watty1, I may have got this wrong but I think you said you were going to have a dental implant done? I've just recently had one and would suggest if you are also having surgery that you definitely let them know about the dental work as well. I had to take a course of antibiotics after the first stage of the implant and various other preventative measures so would be worth mentioning it to the hospital in case of anything being contra indicated.

Thanks @teapot2 Dentist yesterday didn't want to do an implant on the particular problem tooth - he explained why and I thought his reasons were great. I understand why my actual dentist didn't want to do a crown but after listening to both - and this referral was an implant specialist - I am going to go with the crown.
Implants might be needed elsewhere but for now this is about reducing the parts that are bothering me so I'm just having the immediate work done.
