He was a different dog in those days. You were a different person. Now is now

Wattydog is SUCH a good boy; and you're a fantastic owner @Watty1. Is he too big to cradle in your arms, gently rocking, and singing his favourite songs? My dog loves that...xx6

Did Wattydog behave differently then? Maybe there was a lot of confusion with him from the way PPH was.MFW 2025 No. 7 £2331.07/£2700

Way to big LOL He weighs in at approx 40 kg and is not particularly cuddly, goofy and playful with his balls and sticks but not cuddly sadly.Humdinger1 said:Wattydog is SUCH a good boy; and you're a fantastic owner @Watty1. Absolutely. PPH deliberately ruined his training although he did do "training" I think what he did was things I would not really ask of him and it was always heavily food reliant so now WattyDog will only think he needs to do something if I bring out a treat. Interestingly though he does remember my clicker training and focuses as soon as my clicker is produced (and that was not food reliant, I taught him a click would be for getting it right and randomly a click would be a food reward).ajmoney said:daisy_1571 said:He was a different dog in those days. I think PPH wanted him to be "HIS" dog in the beginning and was quite resentful of me doing much with WattyDog so I did not do anything. I took WattyDog to a bit of training and wanted to qualify him for search and rescue but PPH scuppered both. . Then I thought he would take the dog so I just left it because it was all too much to cope with. As it is I have a fabulous dog who is so different now Just not cuddly LOL

PPH didn't deserve him. You, darling @Watty1, are giving him a glorious new life. Love Humdinger xx6

WattyDog sores cleared by VNM who was so impressed by his good behaviour he rewarded him with a Kong.
Coaching session had to be cancelled as I double booked myself and am being interviewed on a podcast re work. Hopefully this will bring in more business!Progress on goals stalled a little but mainly because work busy so I’m counting that as a win re financial goals.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

How can it be Saturday again? The weeks are flying past now. I feel a little frayed out by the board I sit on, the one that had the hopeless administrator. After she left, deleting all files, the mess was so much that I stayed on the board. It now has a lovely administrator, and is more closely linked with the parent body, the general manager of which is both excellent, genuinely nice and on top of things. Whilst they ''learn" the processes I agreed to stay with bestie on the board.
However, this last week I've been really irritated by finding a meeting scheduled for the middle of my working day. It was rescheduled for the convenience of another board member who has a track record of wanting them rescheduled and then not turning up.
I thought about it and decided I was just irritated by them now. Trying to organise a meeting to discuss 3 important reports is proving impossible. Chair of board sent me a WhatsApp saying he was going to work through his lunch break to attend and why could I not do similar. I have not yet responded, but thinking it over I have decided I am being undervalued.
I stayed on the board to help out, I gave a lot of my time to clear up the mess and now there is an assumption I will just fit in around someone who has never actually done that much. So my resolution towards valuing myself is that next week I will raise how I feel and that meetings must be set, agreed on, and then held to. When I was chair, I set the diary on a rolling basis two years ahead and if one board member cannot make it we accepted apologies.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
