It probably isn't cheap but there we are. Due to an error on my part Most Handsome's insurance policy didn't get cancelled so I left it place this month as it is just possible this might be covered. I will see. I will cancel from March either way as we do have the Welfare Fund in Premium Bonds for just such events.
Most Handsome had a massage at lunchtime from an animal communicator and healer my neighbour uses. I'm not entirely sure about this but Most Handsome enjoyed it, as I'm sure we all would. I felt that after nearly 2 weeks of being confined to his stable he deserved a treat and the woman was in the area. Most Handsome communications were to the effect that he is bullied by one of the other horses at which I fell about laughing and said what rubbish and if anything it is the other way around. According to her Most Handsome is entirely unbothered about his lameness and can't see what all the fuss is about. My neighbour is convinced the woman is a communicator which I'm dubious about but he loved the massage so it was worth it as I'm sure that will make him feel better in the short term.
Interestingly there is very little heat in the hoot now so whether time, the massage or the box rest has helped remains to be seen but I feel it is going in the right direction.
This morning i had a business get together in a town 30 mins away so with that and Most Handsome massage I knew I would be short of time I have bought some smoked trout and a couple of boxes of mixed salad for me and the VNM to share for dinner this evening. Looking forward to a relaxing evening and a no fuss dinner (open fridge serve and very little clearing up too). I had wanted to stop at Aldi on the way back and stock up but I could see that wasn't going to happen so this was a nice solution.

probably a combination of all 3 is helping, watty.
Interesting what the communicator said. I suppose you could think of it as 'his feelings' (internal) rather than what you see - his behaviour. We aren't always logical about our feelings so why should horses be lol? Its like a dog straining at the end of a leash, slavering and snarling at another dog. Yes, looking at behaviour it might be a nutter who wants to attack everything that moves. But its equally conceivable that that dog is terrified and unable to distance itself from the situation so is desperately trying to frighten the situation away from it.
Not suggesting either way that communicator picked up correctly or not. No idea how these things work. Just a thought. You know the cuddies best

That makes sense Daisy. I suspect Most Handsome was playing his cards which made me smile because she followed up by saying by the way he knows you think the Charming Cob is "perfect" with a slight snarl which did make me laugh because I do and I do know Most Handsome prefers to focus to be all about him.
End of the Month so I finally have a proper months figures of my outgoings as I have recorded them in a fashion that works for me. I want to work out my figure for 'retirement' and see how that is going. Now that the future is down to me I need to start thinking ahead.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Hahaha, so funny. Awww mh deserves a lot of attention and cuddles to restore his feelings of being top horse lol
I never knew they were such a lot of fun. To me they are just huge slightly scary handsome creatures in fields and not often seen in town so we would shout "look, a cuddy" and point excitedly when we saw one. Now I live in the countryside its a more regular happening to see horses so we tend not to be so excited and point them out to each other every time.

Ten hours sleep. My goodness I needed that. Woke to the window cleaner already cleaning the windows and WattyDog going nuts. The window cleaning was a treat from the VNM. When I finally bought the house the windows were really bad and next door has theirs done once every 6 months so he popped out and asked the chap to do mine and it is one of those things I've kept with. This morning I wondered if I should save the £16 but as I opened the roof window blind and found a bird had left "deposits" and at that moment decided the £16 is worth spending.
Just having a lovely cup of tea and catch up on here before attending to the ponies (the VNM gave them hay before he left this morning at 5 am so they are not starving!)Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

My goodness people are lovely. A hose was on my ' needs ' list for this year and I found one on Marketplace, which I agreed to buy and then struggled to get to pick up. I was suitably apologetic and explained and said it was fine to sell it to someone else. The seller has just pinged me to say it is now with her daughter who is just 5 mins away from me and I have arranged to pick up from there this evening.
Now this is beyond kind because i had intended to pick up before book club but what with Most Handsome and work never got there. I'm really touched. I have been shown so many tiny random acts of kindness in the last few months that I am really moved. It is almost as if the whole energetic field around my life has changed.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Perhaps it has, perhaps these things were always happening but you didn't have enough head space to 'see' them, perhaps your life is expanding now leaving you more likely to come into contact with lovely random kindnesses. Like comes to like. Lovely to hear how the hose worked out
people are indeed lovely

Sounds like the communicator had a 50% hit rate 😉 I am very glad to hear the hoof is cooling now. Hoping that means it is healing.
