They sound like perfect boots, I hope they can be restored - or perhaps the company would custom make some replacements?

Boot repair man rung and he says he can repair. @Cherryfudge the company no longer offer the "make unusual sizes to order" service as they are now quite a large company. I have messaged him my address as I am outside the area he covers so I offered to drop at a local yard but he has looked at address and said he will call in next week. (He works from home and picks up/drops off).
I am so excited about this repair, really out of all proportion to the boots

Your boot repair man sounds great in the most old-fashioned of ways! We had a similar eureka moment many years ago when OH was still working and we found a shirt service that picked them up, washed & pressed & then returned them to our covered shed the next week!

Focus on health/wellbeing - have cleared out a shelf of supplements and sorted out to those that I will use up and have made a meal plan of sorts. Cutting down on the meal delivery companies/boxes will be save money and I really need to sort out what is in the cupboards and freezers. So first week of meals planned which is a start. There is a delivery due this weekend but the following week I will start on the plan.

I find using the same meal plan every week, whilst a bit boring, so much easier at this busy stage of my life. I swap the occasional meal if I fancy something different.

I think that is where my meal plan will end up. Fundamentally very similar every week - but - to start with I want to use things up in the cupboard. I was doing really well with that at one point but as my mental health declined that stopped.
So for the foreseeable we will be eating a vegetarian chilli with fake mince every week at least because I have a lot of soya mince in the cupboard.
I want to get back to opening the food cupboard and freezer and knowing what I have. (Part of wellness/health focus was to do that this month).

So yesterday I did a thing. Not only did I leave the house but I went to London for a business event. I think I was going to give it a miss up until the point I walked to a hotel down the road from the event which was my mum's favourite hotel in London. The name of the hotel has changed and it has been "done up" but wonderfully they have kept it as was with very few changes - the old double doors with doorman has been replaced by an automatic single door - but still into a dark 1930s lobby with wonderful old lights, tiled floor, sofas and a fire going. No longer a real fire but still in the original fireplace. The bar was shut but I peered in and the leather sofas and dark wood panelling reminiscent of a gentleman's club is still there and I remembered my mum saying the only thing one should have in there was a G&T or a glass of champagne. I used the ladies (old tiles retained, repaired, still wonderfully blue and white) and then left as I didn't have time for the pot of tea I had been promising myself.
Reflecting on happy times from the past cheered me up, I walked to the event, said hello to a few people I know, attended the AGM and was going to leave when someone I knew came up and suggested we join the queue for lunch so I did. Left after she and I had eaten (the free and very good) lunch.
I then walked back to the train station in the sunshine. This felt like a major milestone so I rewarded it with buying some new make up and came home and decluttered all the old stuff I do not use into the bin. In MSE style I sorted out what I wanted in the shop by the train station then came home and purchased via a cashback website and using a 15% off coupon. I possibly would have bought it in store but it was such a big place and so very busy I decided to avoid the stress of purchasing and potentially missing the next train.
Very "fake it until I make it" but I did it.
