Congratulations on a job well done! And when you use your new makeup, it can be a reminder of your strength.
The pub sounds very atmospheric, there will be other times for the cuppa (or G&T/champagne) but you got there and investigated so you can bear that in mind for when you have more time.
Free lunch = very MSE, plus networking and social interaction. You probably ticked all the boxes yesterday! Is today a horses day?

Well done Watty - and in fact you did several things!
Your story about your Mom & your make-up purchases made me think of my Gran in two ways. - She would have agreed 100% to having a G&T in an atmospheric hotel AND even more importantly she never left the house without doing her make-up - and that included pruning her roses in the front yard. Something to be said about those old fashioned values! …and faking it actually leads to making it so pat yourself on the back!4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! @watty1 you are truly wonderful! Big steps can often be spur of moment. Are you congratulating yourself? I hope so, as it's going to take a little while to get your podium built and installed. Love Humdinger xx

Thank you all for the cheerleading.
Yesterday I took Charming cob out for his usual Sunday morning stroll with bestie, then later the coach who is helping me with Most Handsome came over and we had a lovely session. She really has helped with my confidence and I feel almost excited to have him back to full ridden work.
Then 'spring cleaning' of the feed room, threw away a bag of rubbish and some stuff that was on my "to do" list and suddenly decided "sunk costs" and did not need the mental strain of how / when / what etc so just scraped stuff up and threw away and whilst that was happening the house freezer was also defrosted.
VNM decided to continue with fixing quad bike - only to find over winter some mice have nested in the engine and eaten through some wiring. A lot of the quad is now in bits. It is fixable but clearly not going to be running anytime soon.
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!6
