You mean you're not tempted to build a 21st century castle a la Grand D? 🤣🤣🤣
Step away from the keyboard, of course I am tempted LOL
but if a castle is wanted, and this is only the same price as the Welsh property

I dread to think of the upkeep costs of that however!

It might be the same price but "Repair and redevelopment costs are likely to be in the region of approximately £10 million or more, depending on intended use" is a little more eye watering 😬

greenbeeWatty would do one thing, and one thing only with a ballroom...... make it into an all-weather exercise/dressage ring 🤭👍

Watty - I was listening to the classical commercial radio station whilst I was pootling across Greying Town, and they were advertising their gentle radio broadcast for pets this Saturday (assume they perhaps had one last Saturday too), and I remembered you'd mention calming classical music for your brood.  I was thinking it was a good idea, but then the announcer mentioned that they were taking shout outs and name checks too 🤣  What happens if Tiddles is listening to the radio intently, and doesn't hear their name mentioned????  Or perhaps the requests and name checks were for the owners 🤔😉

Just so long as they didn't play the 1812.  Where I lived about 30 years ago the fancy estate on the opposite hill used to have bonfire night parties & at midnight they would play the 1812 with fireworks.  All the nobs were there included any top police so there was no point in complaining.  Even I couldn't sleep through them.

Holy bejingo!  That castle is flipping amazing!!  Dont think I'd make it to the ballroom for the dressage event, you'll find me in that amazing hallway!  Wowser.  I ignore anything like possible 10million reno costs, I just look at the pretty pictures 😆

The more realistic Welsh Wales one is however realistic flipping amazing.   (I noticed it appeared 2 of our Welsh contingent pointing out unhelpful (true ) things like Scottish winters and renovation budgets 😆 🤣 😂 northwalesd and welshmansdaughter im looking at you both OO :p , dont you be influencing watty over silly things like non leaking roofs and accessibility when ferries are off just because you've got lovely properties like glan Yr afon 😆 😅 )

Starting to feel a bit better about pining after the ludicrous £850 taps you posted on my diary 😂
Yeah I've really got this MSE thing nailed :)
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

By now you know that I am passionate about MSE but also a tad off beat at times :)
Dang right, what are we saving money for if not gold plated duck taps or decrepit castles on an island in Wales 🥂
