Sadly if he's @rsed about all his days, leaping and crashing about he is likely to have little sprains and strains from little injuries over the years as well as joint problems which in some ways are inevitable as we all age, however he's enjoyed every moment of his big silly life so it's like that expression about not going into your grave perfectly preserved, wattydog is definitely sliding in sideways shouting woohoo like a big scooby doo  🧡 ❤ 💙 💕 💛 😻 🧡

Exactly this.  £70 on physio and then he fell crashing to the ground a couple of hours later doing too tight a turn for his ball.     I just had to laugh, love him.   

After the physio we went to one of my favourite cafes for a breakfast and he was so good.  Two smaller cockerpoo type dogs decided to "take him on" and he walked past them so calmly and nicely without a mummer.  One flew at him the other shouted what I suspect were very bad words in doggy language.  He did not rise to the bait at all. We walked through the cafe, sat at my favourite window seat that overlooks the lovely old station and everyone smiled at him.  For some reason, in cafe's he is beautifully behaved, even when the "teenage thugs" who have to use the outside tables on account of very bad behaviour it turned out are determined to cause a scene.   I ended up laughing with a couple of other people in there, and agreeing that if he behaved like that he would be banned on account of his size.  The cafe produced a jar of dog treats for me, which is why he loves going there I think

Trying physio before going to pain relief but yes, that does remain an option for him.      No, don't get colic although I always worm in the mornings so they can walk around as in my head that helps.  A neighbours horse had colic as a result of wormer and that scares me.  Colic really frightens me as Charming Cob has had surgery for it and I lost a fell pony to it some years ago.

Started to tidy up the whiteboard and found a £2.50 voucher for T£sco so told the VNM to take it as he often passes said store on his way to his sister and he was going to see her yesterday, he came back with flowers for me from said store so I consider that a win.

The post was so exciting yesterday as a gift of seeds (thank you to the sender) arrived which i am absolutely delighted with so project garden continues.

Felt like I was on holiday yesterday.  Ate my lunch on my free to me table and chairs on stable yard, surrounded by the pot plants that are resting there until relocation, then went to have hair cut.  Such gorgeous weather that I stopped for a cup of tea and banana muffin at a cafe and ate outside on the street and watched the world go by.  Home and managed to squeeze all my calls including those I had cancelled whilst in cafe into the few hours left and then ate dinner on the yard with the VNM (he cooked)

Despite the work it felt like a holiday to spend so much time outside in the sun. Simple pleasures.  Haircut was very expensive though, the salon has really upped prices (I don't go that often to be fair) but the hairdresser is lovely, the salon lovely and it added to the holiday feel of the day.

Little bit of work then WattyDog and I went to the  village fundraiser where we met 2 friends for an afternoon of tea drinking and cakes. There were lots of  cakes and savouries, games for children to play, face painting,  vases of wild flowers on tables,  cushions and two large gazebos with bunting.  So charming.  WattyDog was the only dog there and much admired for his good behaviour and his desperation to join the children playing cricket with a tennis ball was overlooked

We had a lovely afternoon in the sun chatting. £4 spent on raffle tickets and I actually won so picked a bottle of single malt whiskey.  I'm cutting back my drinking so this seemed a good choice as I don't like whiskey but the VNM does. He was delighted with his gift, apparently it is a £40+ bottle.  He has put it aside for Christmas.
