Two days in and October is turning out to be a great month. (Writing that I feel a fear of jinxing it though) My course not only sold but I've started delivering it. I won £100 on the premium bonds and a professional body that i volunteer on sent me £500 as a thank you for some work (it worked out at about £2 an hour but I was not expecting to be paid so it was a lovely treat). The £100 has been reinvested on the PBs (animal health fund as they are not insured) and the £500 will be the start of the cash ISA.
For so long I felt I was battling against a tide of depression and hardship and trauma and - for today - I feel competent and that the tide is turning. I know there is a lot more healing time needed but I feel as if it is possible now.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!20 -

It sounds like you have reached the tipping point from one life into your new. You have slogged your way up the dark side of the hill and you are definitely into the lighter, easier side of the hill now. Of course it won't all be sunshine and flowers evermore, I'm not saying that, but it sounds like you can see 'normal' life ahead where its just the usual issues rather than the awfulness you've dealt with.
And never forget: its YOU thats done this. In spite of the insidious rubbish you were told for years and eventually believed for a while, you have found yourself again. A perfectly capable woman who can Get Things Done.
Love it. Take a moment sometime today in a quiet spot and properly reflect.
