  • Good Morning My Lovely Friends.

Looks like spring has finally sprung.  💃💐.  Brilliant sunshine and it feels warm already.  The garden beckons.

Had a fabulous day yesterday.  Family party.  I was too tired for the big clean up last night so today its operation put the house back to rights and then just potter in the garden and enjoy some long awaited sunshine.  Easy dinner of leftovers and then the diet begins tomorrow.......feeling fat and lethargic. 😂.

Time to get serious and shift the lard.  💕

  • Well ladies.  It's been quite a week.  Pleased to say my vita has been a lot more dolce.  Thank goodness.  Not before time.

Looking forward to a nice relaxing weekend after some much needed at home beauty therapy today.

Is your next home going to be your "forever" home?

We are still waiting to hear back from my husband's work to what they will offer him.  When he called them they said the process can take 2 to 3 more months so we aren't moving this year now. It will probably be next year. There is no rush really as I do like living where I do.

My cat is at the vet today having a scan. I'm still in bed having a cup of tea. I still have this cough and not feeling great. I'm going to read my kindle in bed for a while. She only needs to be picked up after 4 today.

    Good morning my lovely friends.

Funny you should ask that, Wednesday.  I think one of the reasons why I have been so slow to commit to a new home is because I had it in my head it was to be my final move. Because of that I couldn't make a decision as to where I wanted to live, what sort of house and so on.

I have now decided that there are just so many variables to take into account, my longevity, health and mobility etc as I age and that I was trying too hard to "future proof" my life.  As a result I have been suffering from "analysis paralysis" lol. One simply cannot plan for every eventuality.  You think I would have learned that from my husbands untimely illness and death.  I have now come to realise that it doesn't matter how hard you plan or how clever you think you are, life will throw curved balls.

So I have decided to take a leap of faith and buy what I want and live where I want right now and stop fretting so much about the future.  If I have to move again into something smaller or in a retirement complex I will cross that bridge when I come to it.  I just don't feel ready for retirement housing yet.

The bungalow I am renting is nice but small and I'm beginning to feel somewhat cramped and a bit claustrophobic. It's definitely cramping my style......lol.  Sounds crazy I know but I am actually going to upsize.  Not huge obviously, easy to heat and manage and where I can create a low maintenance garden.   I do prefer period properties but they can be money pits and can cost a fortune to heat so something more relatively modern and more user friendly and which can be adapted as required.  I am glad I spent some time renting because it's given me time to crystallise my thoughts.

Hope your husband gets good news.  You're right though, there's no hurry and tbh it's not really a sellers market at the moment so it might be better to postpone your move and just wait and see.  Hope the cat is ok.

I was very lucky in that I managed to sell at the top of the market and actually made a handsome profit on the renovation work.  I turned a sad neglected wreck into a lovely home and it was snapped up.  Now I am in the very fortunate position of having no dependent sale so can be ready to pounce when I find "the one".

Anyhoo. Hope you all have a lovely Easter and that the Easter Bunny pays you all a visit.   Mine will be spent with family. The grandchildren were here yesterday and I shall be seeing them again tomorrow.  I shall be on my knees by Monday.  Bless them they are adorable but they wear me out.  Parenthood is definitely for the young and fit.

I was teaching my three year old grandson how to play tug of war yesterday.  His muscle strength is better than mine!!! I didn't  have to let him win, he defeated me with ease.  Mind he is built like a rugby player......

I had better start getting serious about weight training.  💪

  • Good morning lovely ladies.

How are we all.  How is your vita, does it have lots of dolce!!!.  Lol.

All is good here.  It's been a very productive week and I am finally starting to feel that I am beginning to find my mojo.....at last.  Even the weather is picking up.

Its good news week..........first of all I have lost 2.5 lbs. I have a long way to go but it's a good start.

Secondly had my implants fitted on Friday. I am sooooo pleased.  Yes it was expensive but it's worth every penny - and all those hours in the dentists chair.😉.   Just one more bridge to go, hopefully in a couple of months once the actual implant screw is fully established.

And thirdly, ta da !!!  I'm viewing a house this afternoon.  🤞🤞.  Got all my ducks in a row so hopefully this is "The One".  I have enjoyed my "sabbatical" but now it's time to get settled somewhere more permanent so I can put down roots and build a rich and rewarding life.

In the meantime I am just "chillin" as my kids would say, taking life as it comes and practising "Il Dolce Far Niente".

    Have a lovely day.  💕

Fingers crossed on the house viewing
I am in the same position implant wise, 4 done and another 2 being fitted to the screw in less than 2 weeks
The whole process has taken just over a year and I am glad it is nearly over

Tell us how the house viewing goes. :)

I'm keeping my eye on Rightmove for my area and prices although we are not in the position to move yet. Lots of properties are coming onto the market now as Spring is a popular time.

Paspatur.   Well done with the implants  You are right, it's a long process. More of a marathon than a sprint.   We will get there.
