I've heard of Weward but not the others. While I don't remember the name of the one I had, those aren't sounding familiar. I do remember the thing about checking in before midnight, though - I often remembered after 12!
I didn't know collected parcels could have labels delivered - useful thanks.
The particular steroid that DH took the other day is around £300 a month, but Mr SA's treatment makes that look lightweight! I went about 45 years barely using the doctor, but it's gradually getting more common. I'm also very glad that our local surgery seems to have good business brains running it, people who have looked ahead and seen which way things are going, and steered accordingly.

I haven't done a massive amount today. I decided the first skirmish was to motivate myself to get dressed, and just be strict with myself and not skimp on things I felt needed to be done, so a hair wash and some skin care were first on the list. I'm glad of that now as my skin feels good, whereas it had been post-viral.
DH had a long walk despite the rain, which has been torrential flash showers in between sunny spells. After lunch he had his audiology appointment - no significant change - and the roofers turned up as the sun came out. They were only here to check something though. They hope to start on Friday.
Then we took my sewing machine to the repair shop. It will probably be a few days before I hear if they can do anything with it themselves, or whether it needs to go away for a service. After that we went for a coffee, using the special offer gift card I'd bought back in March. DH got a Bakewell tart (not so much inspiring as over-priced) along with our drinks, and there was £10 spent already.
I had a parcel to post which had resisted all attempts to print a label, but when we tried to go into the shop to get one printed, it was full of police! We'd see the same in certain other shops up and down the High Street. We weren't allowed in, but a helpful member of Border Control looked up where else I could go to post it!
The next shop were as helpful as possible but basically I needed to print that label myself. One of the assistants (daughter of a former colleague) was really clever and suggested I do a screen shot then print the photo - which is what I eventually did. We called at some shops on the way home and got reduced price asparagus, which was really nice with salmon, flavoured couscous, peas and cauliflower for dinner.
This evening was my small group from church - only half of us were there due to holidays, which was sort of a shame as it was the last of a series which I think we've all found helpful. My friend gave me lifts both ways and it really is still half light at nearly ten o'clock!

Today, with no class to help at, is altogether too slow! I've done the ironing and a lot of Duolingo (disappointingly, am still in the relegation zone: as you move up the league, the competition gets tougher) and finished the too-sweet bread pudding for elevenses.
The scaffolding people have put up more poles a few doors down where the same company is doing ridge tiles or similar, but it's all gone quiet now so I don't think they are coming here as the weather is set to rain. That also means I haven't done any laundry.
I think I'm going to try some of the green soup I made the other day for lunch, then go and have another try at posting this parcel. Am avoiding getting cold really.

I came out of the Duolingo leagues because I felt too pressurised. Now I've finished the course I just do the daily challenges.

I've got the Duolingo bug at the moment, encouraged by a single day's progress last week that helped me win a level. Still in the relegations zone though!
The green soup turned out perfectly edible, but needed cheese. I got the parcel posted between heavy showers and fitted in my bit of church cleaning. Someone on the church cleaning team has had a stroke - I'm very surprised as she's very active - so I've said I'll do her slot next week. It shouldn't be a big time commitment and paid work has dropped off a bit due to cutbacks. It's been a while since they've asked me to cover a Monday, but that means more time for other things.
Two pallets of slates arrived outside our house at some point - so it looks as though we may be on target for tomorrow. I found a large tarpaulin that some builders left behind a few years ago and have spread it out for the rain to wash it - it can be used if the roofers need to cover some of the multitudinous loft contents tomorrow, but I've also seen it has two holes, so it may be necessary to fold in double!
I worked officially two and a half hours tonight - but forgot it wasn't a three hour shift so I overran.
Dinner was freezer-dive finds: a smoked haddock and cheddar fishcake for me and steak pie for DH.
I don't think I've bought anything today.

Am about to set off looking for the tape - best case scenario is it's on a shelf under the stairs not in the shed.
The roofers arrived about a quarter to eight this morning and are very hard at work. They have a nifty narrow escalator that carries tiles up and down, and are rescuing old slates rather than hurling them into a skip. How cool is that? I approved straight away.
DH has gone to work, slightly chastened as I was grumpy at having to get dressed straight away and answer questions he couldn't about taking a small branch off a tree to accommodate the escalator. I'm stuck here with people crawling over the roof (noisily, which I suppose is slates being moved: I remember the sound from the night a big storm took some of the roof off at work) and the background beat of their music.
I have to make something useful of the day so I'll be back to be accountable.
