I'm glad you like them! They don't seem as sharp as they did on my phone but I'll try to remember to use small instead of medium next time. That single tree in the grounds of a (rather impressive) house is beautiful.

Great photos, they’ve really captured the essence of this time of year.

lovely wintertime pics. Fabulous tree 🌲
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!2 -
Thank you everyone! The tree is one of the American giants, I don't remember which. The top of my head would just about reach the lowest branches.
Well, last night I couldn't sleep properly due to low-grade stomach ache and backache. I'm pretty sure it was the soup to blame. About three, I got up for a drink, biscuit and paracetamol, then slept okay but I've stayed in all day today despite being nearly symptom-free. DH went to church and I watched online which was good timing as their Internet has been dodgy the last couple of weeks so livestreaming has been off till today.
Our main meal was liver and bacon with plum tomatoes, fried onions, baked potato and red wine gravy, and it was gorgeous. It also made a bit more freezer space.
DH managed a cycle ride and a walk, but I stayed in and deep-cleaned the fridge. A few oddments have been chucked out and it's all nice and orderly, though far too many bottles of lemon or lime juice and home-made jams. The rest of the home made bird food has been put out. I remembered the sloe gin I made a few weeks ago and gave it a shake: the colour is magnificent but there's probably only enough for a couple of glasses! I've aslso spent some time trying not to be rude and personal to C0pilot, though at one point it informed me I was annoyed! HOenstly, I gave it the text I wanted made into a colouring sheet and it took 15 goes to get it right. Once the text had stopped adding or losing letters that were originally right, it lost the instructions for the font, then when I got that back, other letters went missing. I give myself credit for not saying 'What part of 'keep the text' don't you understand?' and asking it, after success on the 15th try, what I should do next time to make it easier. That was helpful - basically think of everything beforehand and put it all in the first request, but I need more practice before I can anticipate everything (I mean, how was I to know it would drop the last line after a few goes, or randomly start spelling 'you' as 'yo'?)
My tea was granola, goji berries, milk, banana and red currant sauce! That was a 'try it and see' moment. The red currant was nice but the goji berries somehow didn't go.
I sold an item on V1nted yesterday then today found I'd been wrong about the size so I let the very nice buyer know and we agreed it would go back on sale. It went at the asking price so I'm posting tomorrow and if there's enough light for photos, I'll try to do some more.
The rain is back tonight: I think it's rained nearly every day so far this year. However, we have two snowdrops and three crocuses, so spring is definitely going to win. There's also a stray dianthus that doesn't know it's the wrong season, and the last of last year's marigolds has just given up. Next door's rhubarb is a lot bigger than ours (it has more space), but both are growing well.
Nothing spent today.

So far this morning I've mostly defrosted the freezer and wrapped the V1nted parcel. A frozen sandwich looked rather dodgy so I threw it out. Some sliced ham (defrosted) made my lunch, and some cheese is in the fridge for another day.
I grabbed a random carrier bag of Stuff That Needs Sorting, and it was all oddments of toys. I posted a photo to see if any of the children wanted theirs and and to my surprise DD asked if the straw basket was all right. It had a massive ink stain inside, but otherwise yes, so now the liner is soaking in stain remover and she can have it for her daughter to play with. There might be a couple of bits for the toy box, then I will have to be brutal and throw stuff out.
The rain has stopped and the cloud seems a bit less dense.

Oops, lost track of time and it's 1.20am!
The parcel is posted and I picked up my free pastry from L1dl as well as some half price sausages which I then stupidly left in a fridge at work! I'm back in tomorrow so I must remember to see if they are still there!
The fridge is defrosted and dried out and the drawers are back in but I suspect the drain at the back needs to be cleaned and I can't reach it.
Bedtime.
