I just couldn't resist - not a victim of the family courts, but I know they can be inherently unfair on exposing children to DV. I'm pretty sure it is self-published and not one that I'm going to encounter in a hurry.

Phew!  My experience was that the judge had clearly been on some kind of "training" and was just so insightful and kind (no children, I was filing for an injunction and occupation order and was doing it without legal help whilst the ex had a barrister in with him).  The judge gave me  hard questions and a telling off over something (appropriately I thought), and then ordered in my favour.

@Rosa_Damascena love Arthur Miller and those are 2 of my faves of his. You must have very varied and interesting bookshelves.

My recent purchases:

Cornishware style ( but not the real thing) pudding basin £3
Blue star coat hook 50p
Greeny brown leather bag which you can put over one shoulder or wear as a backpack (no branding) £5
Stretchy velvet M &s pull on slightly flared black trousers £3.
White top with lacy daisy overlay on the front £3
White heavy cotton long sleeved Next Kids top £1.50
Then in a break from the monochrome with a bit of sky blue or denim I’ve been trying to stick to:
Violet tee shirt £1.50
Red M & S cotton jeans £1.50

What a bargainaceous selection, @Potternerd. That's a very sweet pudding bowl, too, never mind it being 'in the style of'. It was meant to be on display with something red in it, I think.  

I spent £2.30 on a !kea napkin holder from Cancer Research, just what I've been looking out for.

Surprise of the day was being dragged into a CS by my OH because he wanted to look at the vinyl.  No surprise when he came up with his usual comment about "if vinyl is bought by men of a certain age why is it always put at ground level where they can't see it?"  In the end the only purchase was 2 new reuseable shopping bags from one that have a very large bee on them.  I'm from a family of B names and it's a frequent comments about Bs getting together.  So they'll be used for giving Christmas presents.

Having not been to the 99p shop in Otley for a while today’s sunny weather prompted a little tripette out this afty.  Struck lucky as none of the ‘pushers, shovers and grabbers’ were there today 😊. Came away with a purple floaty M&S top, a pair of dark brown M&S leather gloves, (b/n, still fastened together) and a denim blue midi shirtwaister dress*. Everything 99p natch🤭  Then from one of the other chazza shops I found a pair of M&S straight leg jeans in a colour I have been looking for, (M&S call it ‘mole’!), priced at £4. Only trouble being someone had shortened them really badly so I have been re-doing ‘em.

* The dress has turned out to be a disaster…..it’s huge, probably about a large size 22.  Dunno what I was thinking!!!  Might turn it into a skirt…..mebbe, praps 🫢

I'm unconvinced it would be worth the effort. Maybe just donate it straight back?

I posted here yesterday, one of several posts that never showed up. Did anyone else have trouble with MSE yesterday evening? It was mostly to say I bought an !kea serviette holder from Cancer Research for £2.30. I'd been looking out for one for a while.

I do miss those 'rummage' style charity shops...

Yes, you were right, not worth the effort!  I put it on Vinted and it sold in the first hour for £15  A friend works for this chazza's hospice and is having an Open Garden event this afty to raise money for the hospice so I will hand them a nice bonus from the original 99p they made from the dress
